Um, oops

Dean pulled up at the hotel, he throws the Impala into park. He shook your shoulder gently. You woke with a jerk, "what?" You blinked blearily and saw the hotel. As you both entered, you were approached by a man who asked if you had heard about God's plan for either of you. You rolled your eyes and Dean muttered "too freakin' much, pal." Dean lead the way into the reception area. The young girl at desk flipped through the magazine, she barely looked up at the pair of you as she gave the pricing, then she told you. "We only have one room left." You and Dean shrugged, uncaring. The pair of you had either taken the floor or the couch a fare few times since joining forces. The girl handed you the key and you both headed over to the assigned room after grabbing your bags from the car. Dean stopped in the doorway, and you crashed into him. "Move Dean." Dean moved out of the way and you saw why he came to a stop. There was only one bed.

You shrugged, "not like we've ever shared a bed before." Dean swallowed, "yeah." You headed into the room, before using the small bathroom to clean up. When you re-entered the room, Dean was on the phone with Cas, he stood over by the kitchenette. You sat at the table, flipping through the menus on the table. "Century Hotel, room 113." There was a pause as Cas said something. Dean spoke in a hurried tone, "Whoa whoa whoa, no, no, come on man, I just drove like sixteen hours straight, okay? I'm *human*. There's stuff I gotta do. Besides Y/N, has been falling asleep for the last three hours." There was a pause as Dean listened to Cas. "Eat, for example; in this case sleep, I just like four hours every one in a while, okay?" Cas had evidently agreed to this as Dean signed off with "Okay, so you can pop in tomorrow morning." Dean looked over at you, "Cas says hi." You looked over at Dean, confused. "It seems you made an impression on the angel." You smirked, missing Dean's look.

After Dean had hung up on Cas, you had swiped the keys to the Impala and driven through the town to find something to eat. You dropped the food in front of Dean. "Eat." Dean raised his eyebrows at you. You had both finished eating, you dropped onto the bed and wiggled under the covers in an attempt to get warm. Dean's phone rang, it was Sam. Dean looked over at you, noting you had tugged the covers over your head to block out the conversation. Dean dropped onto the bed beside you making the cheap mattress bounce a little. You groaned and shoved him a little. He moved under the covers, "not what I meant," you muttered. Dean leaned up and turned off the light, you sighed happily as you rolled over and buried your face into the pillow. Dean sighed heavily. The pair of you fell into a slightly restless sleep.

Dean woke up first, he looked over at you sleeping peacefully by his side. He sat up rubbing the sleep out his eyes. He looked over the hotel, before rubbing eyes and pinching himself. The hotel room looked different, tattered and torn apart like someone had had a massive fight in the room. He got of bed in a rush which woke you. "Dean, what the...?" You tumbled out of bed, sheets tangling in your legs. "Did you...what happened?" Dean shrugged and looked out the window, paling at the side laid out in front of him. You moved to see the sight. It was Kansas City and it had been laid to waste. Both you and Dean checked the hotel room, but you both had nothing but the clothes on your back, a few bobby pins hidden in your clothes and each other.

The pair of you left and headed out into the ruined city. Dean spotted a small girl, holding a teddy bear crying curled by a wall. She swung suddenly; she held a blade of glass in her hand. Dean managed to knock her out, due to reflex. You turned around and saw something you hoped you would never see. The word; Croatoan was written out in bold letters. "Dean." He turned around and stopped dead. Just as the dread began to settle into your faces, you saw what looked infected people began to chase the pair of you. As you both run, a small military appeared and fired at those chasing you. The bullets fired flew over your heads barely missing the pair of you as you both ducked down an alley. Dean tucked you behind him almost instinctually, pulling some wooden boards in front of him.
