A few months later, you had moved to LA and had met the Office of Special Projects team. Nell and Kensi had practically become your sisters and best friends. Sam had heard that you and Steve had broken up, but he didn't know the full extent. Sam just let bygones be bygones, he became like a big brother to you. Eric loved having you around, the fact that you both loved trivia and polar bears. Deeks loved the fact that you found some of his jokes funny and that you had good taste in food trucks. Callen hadn't warmed up to you yet, Hetty had told you it would take a while but that he would warm up to you in time. The rest of the team loved having a new member, one who knew was proficient in languages and who was willing to help with any problems that they had. Deeks had mentioned it was helpful that you were such a good shot.

The current case you were working was a connected to one that Five-0 was working. The case involved murder and stolen nuclear material. It had started in Hawaii and the killer had fled and stolen the nuclear material had been taken in LA, this all meant that it had to involve both LA NCIS team and Five-0 task force. The NCIS team was beginning to notice the tension between you and the Five-0 taskforce. They also had noted that you got along with Chin more than the others. After they hung up, everyone noticed the tension lingering in your posture. Sam was the one brave enough to ask, "what happened between you and the Five-0 taskforce?" You swallowed, scuffing your feet and crossing your arms. Looking up you faced the team. "I...I was accused of mishandling evidence by a murderer which meant he went free. But HPD found other evidence and put him away for life." There was lingering silence. "Did you do it?" You looked up at Callen who had asked, knowing why he had, "no. Wasn't my case, I...uh...had no access to any of the evidence or anything. It was just the guys word against mine. We were dating when it happened and broke up after, if that's important. He was deployed when it happened, it was before his father's death..." you wiped at your eyes. Deeks coughed awkwardly. Sam looked at you, "Why does Steve think you did?" You shrugged before you answered Sam's question, "all of HPD thinks I did, the guy was a former cop. Which meant they believed him over me, I guess afterwards, they basically turned on me and uh... I guess that Steve trusted the men that worked with his father more than me so..." You looked at the team, Sam had some lingering anger behind his eyes whether that was directed at you or Steve you didn't know. "So, Danny and Kono heard it all from Steve and HPD?" You nodded. Deeks looked at you, "sorry that you had to go through all that." You nodded again before shrugging and giving a small smile. "I'm alright now. Sort of anyway."

Hetty appeared shortly afterwards, "Miss L/N was not responsible, I would not have hired her if she was. Besides all of us here have been accused of something we did not do." You looked at the Operations Manager, "thank you." You sounded unsure, but thankful. "That all being said, Mr McGarrett and Detective Williams will be arriving in the next few hours, the governor of Hawaii wants the suspect who stole the nuclear material who is here, to be tried in their court. So, both Mr McGarrett and Detective Williams will escort him back."

After Hetty left, you headed to the armoury to clear your weapon and head. Kensi and Deeks had left to talk to witnesses, Sam was at the ME's office and you didn't know that Callen had followed you. He watched as you began to pull your weapon apart, after it was in pieces you stopped throwing the cloth onto the table before burying your face in your hands. Callen stepped into the room. "You okay?" You lowered your hands and rested your arms on the table. "Yeah." Callen stood on the other side of the table to you, before pulling a chair around and sitting down. "I get why you weren't so welcoming, guess you either did your research or you spoke to HPD or Hetty told you." Callen met your eyes; his blue eyes were ice blue hiding his emotions. "I did my research. I didn't call HPD." You shrugged and began cleaning your gun, "thanks I...uh appreciate that." Callen nodded and watched silently as you began to put your gun together.
