A breaking news banner flashed across the tv screen; the nurses paused in their tasks. One was watching out of the corner of her eye as she filled in a patient's paperwork. Another watched as she spoke to the person on the end of the line. The news was showing Five-0 in the middle of a fight during their most recent case, bringing down some drug gang. You nibbled your lip as you worked for the rest of your shift worried for your brother and cousin as well as the rest of the team.

Dropping onto the bench in the locker room, you sighed as you got off your aching feet. Changing into your street clothes, debating what takeaway to get for dinner as you didn't have the energy to cook dinner. Stopping by a vending machine on your way out as you adjusted your bag on your shoulder, you picked up the bag of chips as your stomach growled. You waved at Malia as you left, you popped open the bag of chips eating them as you walked to your car. You finished them as you arrived at your car, scrunching up the bag and placing it in the nearby trashcan. As you were searching your handbag for your keys, you found them as your phone rang. You fished it out, answering it as you placed it between your shoulder and your ear. "Adam, hey." Your new boyfriend gave a chuckle, "I was wondering if you wanted to get dinner with me, there's a new restaurant; I'd think you'd like it." You pounded for a moment, "can we get takeaway instead, I've had a long day and just want to relax on the couch?" Adam grinned on the other end of the line, before answering, "certainly, Miss Kelly. I'll be right over." You tried to tell him that you could get dinner, but Adam wouldn't hear of it. You hung up and tossed your bag into the passenger seat and slid your phone into your jacket pocket. As you were about to get out of the car, you saw a shadow in the dark window of your car. You reached back and tied your hair out of your eyes.

One of them moved forwards and you fought back. You made sure to scratched them as much as you could. You even managed to bite down on one guy's arm. Kicking out and squirming as much as you could to get away. You manged to break the guy's hold on you and remove the hand that was pressing against your mouth. Letting out a scream that you hoped hospital security would hear. One of the guys realised that kidnapping you wasn't the best plan, so pulled out his gun and shot you once. The two of them then ran off. Security had heard the gunshot but assumed that it was a car backfiring as there was another bang shortly afterwards. Your phone buzzed in your pocket; but you were unconscious from the shock of your wounds. Malia was working to her car, as she did, she checked her phone. When she looked up, she spotted your car still parked by hers. Her brow furrowed which deepened when she saw your body laying on the ground. She raced to your body and saw the bloody wound in your side. She immediately pulled out her phone, and called the hospital begging them to come out to the carpark. As she did this, she applied pressure to the wound.

Chin was still at Five-0 headquarters when his phone rang, it was Adam. "Hey Adam." His brow furrowed as he listened to your worried boyfriend. "No, I haven't seen her or heard from her. But I'll call her now okay." Chin tried to calm your worried boyfriend, Kono opened his office door her face pale; phone to her ear. Chin looked up at his cousin, she spoke "Malia says we need to get to the hospital. Y/N's been hurt." Chin told Adam that he needed to get to the hospital, before hanging up.

Chin was pale as Danny drove, he had been leaving when he saw the shocked looks of Kono and Chin. When he had found out what had happened, Danny had demanded their keys. He drove them to hospital and with a "don't tell Steve or I'll never hear the end of it," drove as fast as his car allowed. Kono tumbled out of the car before it came to a stop, going and even paler shade when she saw crime scene tape set up around your car and the small blood stain on the ground along with your scattered belongings. Kono couldn't move, she felt as if her felt were glued in place. Danny pulled her along, Chin following when his saw his cousin moving. Chin understood why Kono couldn't move, the fear of losing you was making his own movements stiff and jerky.

Malia leapt into Chin's arms, tucking her face into his neck. "Is..." he couldn't finish his question emotion chocking him, she shook her head. She pulled away and stepped out of his arms, still in reach. "Sorry," she paused to wipe away her tears. "She's going to okay, the bullet only grazed her. She was attacked, I don't know what happen or anything...the police..." Malia shrugged as if to say you know.

Chin made his way into your hospital room, Kono following. Danny was liaising with the police on the scene, making it a Five-0 case. After he had kissed your cheek and hugged you as well as been pushed out of the way by Kono for her hug. "So, facial got a couple of hits in like five seconds which never happens. Hey, Chin's little sister. These idiots who messed with ya, have a beef with the Yakuza. Looks like they're going after you to get to your boyfriend. Steve's on his way here to pick me up and we'll go arrest these guys or if Stephen has his way do something dangerously stupid." Danny hugged you and gave both Kono and Chin a look meaning they had to stay here.

Kono took Malia to get a coffee leaving you and Chin in your room waiting for Adam to show up. Chin began to blame Adam for you getting shot, his anger rolling off him in waves. They were mainly muttered threats and scared thoughts. You managed to get him relatively calm by the time Adam showed up. Adam entered your hospital room in a rush, Chin gave your boyfriend a strong look before announcing he was going to see Malia and Kono. Chin left the room and Adam moved forwards to hug you. Adam's arms tightened around you as he held you. He leaned back, cupping your face in his hands; searching your face for any additional wounds. "I am so sorry, I never wanted this to happen. I could have...I should have..." Adam apologised several more times before you managed to get him to stop. "I'm okay, Adam. I'm alive. I forgive you."

After you had finished speaking, Chin walked in with Kono and Malia. Adam apologised to them as well, Kono simply hugged him before telling him he had nothing to be sorry for. Malia hugged him to. Chin gave him, his legendary look of displeasure before he turned to face you. You smiled at him, knowing what he was doing. Chin chose to speak to you rather than Adam, "I'll forgive him..." There was a pause, "if he buys us dinner."
