"I'll keep going. Just like what Ms. Shimura said, I just have to go to that mountain.. Then maybe, I could leave." Midoriya bent on his knees and picked up his scarf, placing it on his neck. No doubt, he was absolutely freezing right now.

Walking through the snow was a tough one, especially with the light blizzard blowing him to a different direction. He also had no gear for triking nor any other thing to help him at the moment.

The icy mountain was half a kilometer away. Walking that far in a freezing environment with just your uniform and a scarf already was a hard thing to do.

Tripping his way, he managed to reach the foot of the mountain where a cavern's mouth of impenetrable blackness appeared before him.

As he stepped in he watched his shadow dissolve into the surrounding darkness. The only sound was the dripping water not far away.

Small, loose stones littered the floor causing him to almost fall on the floor.

All hell broke when torches opened to life, lighting up the tunnel ahead and bathing the entire cave in a flickering blue glow.

He felt someone breathing by his neck, "This is not normal, I should go back." Midoriya thought, turning around to leave, only to be faced by a rocky wall.

"Where's the entrance?" He asked himself frenetically. He looked behind him, only to see something he never expected.

All the rocks had turned into transparent crystals, showing reflections of himself, all with different expressions: Sadness, Anger, Envy, Disgust, Fear, Pursuit and Hate.

The stone guarding the entrance was jagged and uneven. He followed the damp wall of the cave with his hands, even if there were torches, they were all so dimly lit.

Some of the crystals were very sharp, especially on ones that didn't exactly point towards him. They suddenly appear when he touches them, making him think twice about relying on the walls.

"It's getting even colder..." Midoriya thought, rubbing both his hands to create some kind of heat.

Walking around the cave made him more jumpy, flinching at each crystal he comes upon and subconsciously looking behind him every five seconds. He felt so lost. He felt so uncomfortable.

He felt unsafe.

"Damn it, why am I so gullible?" Midoriya clenched his fist, promising himself to hopefully no longer fall for another dumb trap.

He gazed a beautiful shrine after a few steps. All the crystal shards were evenly placed and distributed in a colorful manner. The blue torches were a lot more lighter and made it easier to see.

A huge clear pond surrounding the shrine with it's fountain on the sides. Small fishes swimming through the blue green sea grass.

This time, Midoriya didn't let his guard down. He formed a fist and walked cautiously through the sapphire-like bridge.

"Why are you in a hurry?" The voice felt like snakes, but this time, Midoriya was certain it didn't come from his head. It was for real this time. Right now, it wasn't just some stupid voice in his head that can't hurt him physically, it can now kill him, permanently.

"Stop hiding and face me." Midoriya shouted, doing a battle position, "Come out here, you coward!" He turned his head, looking around if a person would come and show up.

Chuckling, a figure behind him appeared, placing its palm to his shoulder. Midoriya tensed up at the sudden presence of something unpleasant, "That's not how you greet a friend, Izuku."

Midoriya quickly turned around and threw a punch, only for the thing to melt away and go below him and right behind him. It pulled his hair to meet Midoriya's face, "Aw, you really look cute, you know that?"

His emerald eyes met the same green eyes, but these emotions it's putting were something he never wore. They were menacing and thirsty for vengeance.

Midoriya attempted a kick in which the doppelgänger immediately avoided. "What do you want?" The greenhead stared daggers at it.

"You're asking me? Oh, Izu, you already know what I want." It chuckled, pointing his pinky finger to Midoriya's face, "I want you."

It suddenly pulled out a knife and leaped itself to Midoriya. Immediately, The greenhead pivoted his foot to disappear from his opponent's line of sight, grabbing its wrist and based its neck. He pulled it and threw it down on the ground. Midoriya rested his feet and his hands to stay on top of his duplicate, making sure it won't escape him.

It smiled mischievously, trying to move its face to meet Midoriya's, "When did you learn that, Izuku?"

"I've been watching Uraraka." Midoriya answered before realizing what he said, when did he ever met someone by that name? "Wait.. Who's Uraraka?"

It took this as an opportunity and used the distraction, kicking him out of the way. "Shit, you're remembering now, huh?"

"Remembering? So Ms. Shimura was right.." Midoriya thought, looking fixedly at it with eyes wide open.

It leaped to Midoriya, pushing him off as both of them were falling deep into the bottomless water. "Then there's more reason for me to make sure to control you right now!"

Midoriya was struggling underwater, trying to push it off and trying to get back up. The very few fishes' from before began charging at him, ripping his skin right then and there.

"It's getting colder, isn't it, Izuku? You're going to die!" It smirked malevolently, grabbing Midoriya's foot and dragging him down, "I'll take you out before they come back!"

"The slowest death is considered the most painful one. That's what I wanted to give you, Izuku!" It said with spiteful eyes, "Don't worry, you won't really die."

Midoriya axe kicked it as strong as he can, even causing its blood to get mixed in with the water. He propelled himself through the water and reached the top, barely even breathing. "I was able.. to kick him.. I guess I have to thank Iida for that.. wait, Iida..?"

Wet and soaked with water and his own blood, Midoriya coughed up on the surface, lightly stroking his chest for air. "I'll think about that later.. I have to get out of here.."

Midoriya looked back at the exit, it was still jammed with rocks. His eyes quickly shifting left and right, searching for some kind of opening.

A huge crystal shard suddenly appeared within a blink of an eye. Midoriya didn't have time to react as the ice-like fragment sunk into his left eye, blood flowing thickly. The crimson liquid drizzling down his face, reminiscent of rain streaming towards the bottom of a window.

He felt like his eyesight had bled out right there on the floor.

"That's payback for kicking my eye, Izuku!" His doppelgänger materialized in front of him, with charcoal-colored scleras with forest green irises, eyeing on him with a sinister scrutiny. It was.. angry.

The sharp pain aching in his head was enough for him to fall back to the ground. All Midoriya could do was cry out a bloodcurdling scream.

It was game over.
