« Coffee Shop - Shoto Todoroki
The sunset at the horizon can be watched from the distance, spreading its largess into a grateful sky. Rich hues of red blended with oranges and purples.

Todoroki snuck past the U.A. Gates which was surprisingly not that heavily guarded. Iida went to some kind of Crêpe Shop nearby to ask another patient.

They knew teachers will keep an eye out to the students, that's why he manage to make Bakugo set an outburst earlier.

Hopefully, Aizawa would probably be more weary of the ash-blonde right after that, thinking like he is the one most likely on the move. It was even a miracle they got him to agree on things.

Kirishima and Uraraka both wanted to obtain information as well. Even so, Iida asked for Ochaco to ask permission and take a visit to Midoriya to check on him while Eijiro would make sure to keep the spiky blonde calm.

According to the website they've got, this person Half and half will visit works at some kind of Coffee Shop just around the corners of U.A.

"Sorry for making you wait..!" The waiter exclaimed sitting down.

"No, it's fine." Todoroki reassured the man. He was still staring down at the table while the man settled in, "Sir, are you sure it is really alright for me to ask about.. that?"

The young waiter already knew the situation, it was in the news anyways. He also watched the sports festival and saw the two-toned hair fight against the greenhead. He nodded, "If it can help, then I'm okay with it."

Only a day was left for Midoriya's life, he can't waste any time now. He has to get as much data to get to the bottom of this.

"From my research, the quirk that had hit Midoriya has something to do with his mind." Todoroki stated, his voice not stopping for a second, "If you're comfortable and if you remember anything, do you mind telling me if you were elsewhere while you're coma?"

The waiter tipped his finger on his chin and stated, "I do remember being in some kind of field.. and then there was trees and then snow.. then sand-- then rocks as I keep wandering. I have to say, it was strange there."

Todoroki wrote everything down and continued to question him, "What's your quirk, sir?"

"Eh... I'm quirkless." He shrugged.

"Oh.."

"Ah, don't sweat it. You could say it was luck, if I had some real powerful quirk, I might be dead by now."

"Sorry."

"I don't mind that, um, what else can I help you for?" He said, sipping his cup.

Todoroki scratched his head and asked, "How did you escape the.. er.. field?"

"Escape..? Apparently one of my old friends suddenly appeared and helped me against this big spider."

"Spider?"

"Yeah, I'm a bit afraid of those.." The waiter rubbed his neck, "But she came and practically defeated the thing."

"So his is fear." Todoroki noted, "If it was Midoriya's.. What could he be afraid of?"

The U.A. student didn't reply and just nodded, telling the waiter to keep going, "Then I went to some desert and I got back here.. I don't know if that would help though.. Everything else is a bit blurry."

So a grass field then a forest, probably. A snowy place then some kind of desert. If they're the same and if these were the things Midoriya is going through, where could he be by now?

If it was fear, then what could he possibly be afraid of? They never really talked about what they were scared of.

If it was an alter ego, then maybe this doppelganger will be the opposite of their resident cinnamon roll.

Then again, they also didn't know if Midoriya ever had some grudge on other people. Bakugo maybe?

Their topics were mostly heroics and were often positive. Who knew what's going on in that analytical brain of his?

All this were driving Icyhot crazy.

"Oh, thank you." Todoroki snapped back out of thinking, "Yes, it's a big help, sir. Is there anything else?"

"Not that I remember anything else. I'm out of juice, sorry. Anyways," The waiter stood up, stroking his apron, "My shift's about to start, sorry if I didn't help that much."

"No, thank you and sorry for bothering you." Todoroki reassured, also standing up, ready to leave. He still didn't stop thinking of possibilities.

Even if they finally knew more, they were still at a dead end. The waiter's answers were puzzling. A friend suddenly appearing out of nowhere? Does it have to do something with that then?

Does the friend know about this? Did the friend came from reality or is it a figment of his imagination? Overcoming his fear perhaps?

There were still unending questions that the waiter sadly can not answer. Suddenly his phone began chiming a ringtone.

"Uh, excuse me, I'll pick this up." Todoroki stated, taking his ringing phone out, "Huh? Uraraka?"

Bakugo paced back and forth at the kitchen, grumbling. "Stupid Half 'n Half, making me wait here for fuck's sake!"

Others where only staying on their positions, some staring as if they're spacing out of reality. The fact that they can't do anything angered them but then again, what can anger do to help?

"Have anyone seen Iida and Todoroki..?" Yaoyorozu asked everyone, though immediately regretting even saying a thing.

Jiro only shook her head before looking down on her coffee. They can only assume that they're in their rooms by now. The news about Midoriya would take a toll on them.

The only thing that probably broke the silence was the noise coming from the water heater.

"These fucking extras.. They're acting like that stupid Deku will die a shitty death with a gunshot..." Bakugo thought, pouring hot water to his tea so angrily it began overflowing. Some of the liquid slipped past him and dropped in feet.

"Shitty water!" He exclaimed, holding his own feet.

Kirishima noticed this and tried to calm him, he knows Midoriya's state is bothering the blonde, "C'mon Bakubro, trust Todoroki and Iida, they'll find some kind of way."

"Of course they have to! If that nerd dies, I'll fucking kill him." He murmured, cleaning up the splash of water.

"That doesn't make sense. You do know that's messed u--"

The room was filled with the different ringtones of each of their phones. Each took out their gadgets to see Uraraka calling everyone in their group chat.

Ashido picked up and asked, "Yo.. Ochaco? Aren't you visiting Midori?"

They could hear Uraraka's breath stopping with sobs, her camera wasn't on. Hearing that alarmed everyone in the room, gaining their attention, causing everyone else to immediately join the group call.

"Round face?! What's going on, fucking tell me!" Bakugo yelled at his phone.

There was a moment of silence, her voice felt so afraid.

"Deku.. He's.. He's getting colder.. It should've been a good thing.. since he was.. too hot a while ago-- but now.. He's colder than he should be..."

Kirishima shouted at the phone, his face was full of worry, "Is Midoriya alright though?!"

"H-he's a bit alright now.. but.." Her voice hitching at every word, "His eyes.. they're open.. and blood.. he's.."

"He's crying blood."
