Summer here I come!!! I screamed as I ran into my bedroom and jumped in my bed. Today had been an awesome day! Right after graduation, Noah, Lee, Rachel and I went on a double date to the beach. Then we did a speeding race to see who could go faster. Lee in his blue Mustang vs. Noah on his Motorcycle. It was close, but Noah and I won! Lee and Rachel were really good sports about it though. We all just laughed it off. It's moments like this that make me wish summer would never end. I bet you recognize that fraise, huh? Luckily for me, summer had just begun!
I was so exhausted! I decided I deserved to have a Netflix and chill night all to myself. As I grabbed my laptop from my desk, the letters from Berkley and Harvard stared me in the eyes. I tried not to think about it but I just couldn't help myself. Nervously, I teared open the sealed letters. I tried to not get my hopes up because I knew they were both very hard school's to get into. I mean, this was Harvard we're talking about!
Holy shit! My application to attend Harvard & Berkley was approved!! I could not believe it! When everyone at graduation asked which school I was going to go to I said I had been put on the waiting list but the truth was, I was way to scared to find out. I didn't want to sound like a baby, so I lied. I figured I would read the letters in a couple weeks and tell them then. But now that I had been accepted into both, I had to tell Noah, Lee, and dad of course!
I called an emergency family dinner at our usually spot with the Flynn's. Even though it wasn't Sunday afternoon, I needed to share the good news with everybody and this was the only way I could think to do it!
*Elle talking to her dad downstairs*
Elle: Hey dad, we're having an emergency dinner tonight at our usually spot with the Flynn's, okay?
Mr. Evans: Why, what's wrong Elle? Is everything alright? What happened?
Elle: Oh, don't worry everything's fine. I just have some very important and exiting news to share with everyone that can't wait till Sunday.
Mr. Evans: It's your college application results, isn't it?
Elle: Yeah, it is!
Mr. Evan's: Awww honey that's great. I can't wait to hear the news! So you'll text Lee and Noah right?
Elle: Of course!
Mr. Evans: Great. So we'll leave in 20 I guess.
Elle: Sounds good!
Mr. Evan's: Ok, see you later honey bear.
Elle: I love you dad.
Mr. Evans: I love you too Elle.
*Elle texting Noah and Lee*
Elle: Hey guys!! So I have big news! I'm calling an emergency meeting, at our usual spot, of course. Be there in 20 min.
Lee: Omg Elle that's great! Can't wait to hear it! See ya in a few! xoxo
Noah: Awh Shelley, that's awesome! I can't wait to hear it too! See u soon! luv ya! 😍❤😘
Elle: Awww you guys are the sweetest!! See u there!
