Draco sighed tiredly, running a hand through messy blond hair. He was exhausted. From his back to back classes and the fight with his lover that kept him up into the early hours of the morning, he couldn't ask for anything but an hour for a nap.

It was about four, and the sun was brightly shining on the warm spring afternoon. He knew had to stay awake if he didn't want to ruin his sleep schedule, so he decided that his tired mind would be rejuvenated by the sun and a talk with Hermione. He slipped into black jeans and his old t-shirt, tying the laces of his tennis shoes before heading out the door. His mind wandered on the lengthy walk outside.

They had been officially together for about eight months, though they started to date secretly around Christmas of sixth year. The timeline goes back a few more months, but that isn't important. They were struggling and going through a rough patch.

They talked many nights about how it was going wrong and what they should do. Draco was still head over heels for her, yes, but it was hard and stressful. They were so young, and when they were so in love, they were equally terrified. Hermione had just turned nineteen and he was to turn said age next month. He was so afraid. He had no idea where they were going to go. Whether this would destroy them or bring them together.

He was comforted, though, by the fact that he knew he belonged with her. Rain or shine. It was just difficult because they were both stubborn and refused to give up.

He finally stepped into the field above the lake where everyone would relax on their time off. It was a perfect temperature, and everyone was out of their robes.

He saw her then. She had on baggy black jeans and a green, collared shirt that ended just above her belly button. With the sunshine hitting her curls, it made her look like an angel. She was laughing with Ginny over something he couldn't hear. He just smiled at her, his girl.

He was fine. Wherever she was would be his home.

She finally caught his eyes for a second, and erupted with a bright smile at him adoring her.

His sweet creature.
