45 | How to Train your Familiars

“Oh my god, you're kidding me. . .”

“No, they're real.”

Staring at two kiddos sitting on our couch; the Demon one, lying on our couch with its feet moving as if it's her house, and who's busy munching my favorite Ruffles chips, while the other one, the Angel, is behaving as a fragile lost child who's been wandering around in an unknown museum who couldn't help but be amazed of everything her gazes stops by.

I still couldn't forget what happened earlier.

Shattering glass, followed by Shinoa's shriek which made me ran towards the living room where those sounds came from, nervous and thinking as if a villain reached out room.

Dahil sa gulat ay sabay-sabay kaming napalabas. Among us, Phoebe and I are the only ones whose well dressed. Mika's rubbing her eyes as if she just woke up, while our attention is focused on Shinoa who's her naked body is hidden by a towel only, where the glass swans that she always brings whenever she'll take a bath, are on the floor, shattered and destroyed.

Nanlalaki ang mata nito habang nakatingin sa dalawang bata na. . . my eyes widened. Is that my Ruffles?

“Good morning, Master!” ani ng batang kumakain ng paborito kong pagkain na walang paalam na kinuha. How dare her? That's my Ruffles!

“Master?” Sabay-sabay nilang banggit at nagtinginan sa akin. Naguguluhang tumingin naman ako sa kanila, bago ibinalik sa dalawang bata at huminto iyon sa anghel na inosenteng nakatingin sa akin bago ito tumayo.

Inosente itong naglakad palapit sa akin na aking pinanood, natitigilan, hanggang sa huminto sa aking harap, at nakatingin sa akin ang bilugan nyang gintong mga mata, nagniningning.

“Good morning, Master! How's your sleep?” Her voice is soothing, and a warm hand seemed to brush my heart gently,m that my mouth gape.

Someone snorted in a child tone. “Angelus, don't you see? She woke up from the wrong side of bed,” aniya at muling kinain ang chips na dapat ay idadala ko sa klase mamaya.

The Angel girl looked at the Demon one, pouting her lips. “Daemonia! Fix your sit!” But the Demon just rolled her eyes and continued eating my favorite.

“Angelus and Daemonia. . .” I whispered as I look at the two. These two looks so familiar. . .

Something clicked on my mind, that I looked at both of them with wide eyes.

Oh my god, don't tell me. . . “What are you doing here? Are you lost again?” I couldn't believe it. Paano sila nakapasok sa aming penthouse na nasa pinakaitaas? At talagang dito pa?

The Demon child snorted again. “What? We're your servants.”

Na mabilis na itinama ng Anghel.

“Familiar, Daemonia.”

“Aren't those the same?”

“Isn't the term Familiar is cuter than servants?”

I look at my friends as I shook my head. I'm as clueless as they do!

Kaya't ngayo'y naglalakad kami ay sila lamang ang nagdadaldalan, ibig kong sabihin ay si Shinoa ang madaldal, para bang nakalimutan na ang kanina, habang ako naman ay tahimik dahil hindi mawala sa isip ko ang nangyari.

I was so sure that everyone, including my friends, thought that my familiar are butterflies! But those children we left inside our penthouse are saying that they're my familiars, I don't know if I should believe them or not!

But Mika said they're telling the truth. Malakas ang pakiramdam nito lalo na ngayon dahil isa iyon sa katangian ng buntot ng kanyang familiar na nakakonekta sa kanyang nararamdaman. Foxes are good at feeling someone's emotions, and as long as there's a fox familiar in a group, no one could lie or they'll be exposed.
