Arianna's POV
I slept for that entire night despite going to bed earlier than I ever had in my entire life. I woke up in a good mood and got ready pretty quickly, including showering and doing a little bit of makeup. I wore a pair of shorts with fishnet tights and a long-sleeved shirt - both mostly black, and when I exited my room - coming face-to-face with Devyn - she didn't bother hiding her reaction.

"Oh! Damn me to hell!" she exclaimed with a massive smile on her face.

I blushed, tucking hair behind my ear.

"Where are you off to looking like that?"

"Downstairs?" I questioned in amusement.

"You should try to convince Colby to let you out of the house. I mean, hell isn't particularly a nice sight, but it's better than being cooped up all day, right?"

I waved it off and motioned that I was leaving, but she kinda had a point. Part of me did want to go and see what hell outside of these walls was like. When I got to the top of the stairs, I noticed that there was only one person in the living room, and that was the man himself - the devil, so I quickly jogged down and joined him.

He didn't even look up when I walked in, but I purposely sat on the same couch right next to him, just to test the waters. His eyes were on a book, of sorts, with lots of names and photos of people.

"There are four more couches," he said quietly as he flicked the page.

I raised an eyebrow, shuffling even closer to him to make a point. He glared at me and moved over, leaving a gap between us before turning back to the book. The more I stared, the sooner I spotted the 'Method of Death' section on every page with each person, and my heart dropped.

"What is that?" I asked.

"The most recent book of people who have entered hell." He slammed the book shut. "Only just finished it."

My jaw literally dropped at the size of the book in his hand, which looked to contain easily thousands of people.

"You have to make all of that?" I blurted out in utter shock.

He raised a single eyebrow and moved the book out of my sight, placing it down on the small coffee table. When he sat back, he was looking suspiciously right into my eyes.

"What do you want, Arianna?"

I bit my lip and looked away. How did you even go about asking the devil to leave the house? My silence only made him more curious and suspicious, so he reached across and gently grabbed the side of my face, turning my head.

"Just say."

"I um... I want to go out there." When I motioned towards the front door, he immediately shook his head and dropped his hand. "I just want to see what it's like."

"There are windows."

"Come on, you can't even send someone out with me?"

He paused for a moment in thought, staring at me before he glanced back over at the book on the coffee table. I could see the cogs turning in his head and I was hopeful that he'd made a decision when he sighed and leaned his head back.

"I have a spare hour, that's all you get."

Wait, he was going to come with me? That didn't sound so good. Nevertheless, he got up and motioned for me to follow him. We walked to the front door and slipped through as if nothing unusual was happening. I had seen the front of the house very briefly before, but seeing it again just made me completely awestruck. What I didn't expect to be such a big part of hell was the long holey bridges that looked less stable than an asylum patient.
