I was still angry for many reasons when I woke up. Part of that was because my bed was white instead of black, red, and every other dark color in existence, but also because the sun was shining through the window... it had been so long since I had seen an actual sun that it immediately made me mad. I didn't want the sun, I wanted to wake up and not be able to tell what time it even was because that was better than living through being blinded in the morning.
To make things worse, when I got out of bed, my closet was filled with white. I was gonna vom. Disgusting. The last time I wore white, I was still getting dressed by my mother down on earth. Somehow to make everything even worse, the white clothing mostly consisted of dresses. I was not happy whatsoever.
With a couple of gags and shivers, I was eventually wearing a white dress that clung to the bottom half of my body and, still, made me want to throw up. What was the point in wearing something so easily stained and ruined? I ignored my own angry thoughts and stormed towards the door, expecting to be able to leave just like that but the moment my hand touched the handle, it flung back in my face.
"Not so- oh..." Katrina, the culprit of my close call to having a broken nose, stood from her defensive position and looked me up and down. I hated that a smile slowly grew on her face after a moment. "You look beautiful, Arianna."
"Don't care," I replied immediately.
She sighed, shaking her head as she gently wrapped her fingers around my wrist, pulling me into the hallway. "You're here now. I know it sucks for you because you love black or whatever, but you were always meant to be here. Colby clearly showed that he didn't want you down there, so- "
"Shut your mouth before I attack you," I grumbled, glaring at her.
Her mouth opened and closed in surprise, staring at me in disbelief. A part of her didn't believe that I would, if necessary, slam her against the nearest wall and not give a shit. Putting me in heaven wouldn't change my heart or my soul. I knew where I belonged.
Our little staring contest was cut short when we ended up in the throne room of heaven. God was on his throne with Fate beside him, and Sam was waiting on his for Katrina. I noticed for the first time that there was a podium sitting beside God's throne, and on it, was a comfortable-looking chair with golden accents just like everything else in this castle.
"Good morning, Arianna. It's good to see you in white." God spoke loudly, proud of his most recent trophy. "We have a... meeting this morning that requires you to be in here with us. So, please, could you take a seat?" He motioned to the very chair I had spotted upon my arrival.
"What the fuck do you need me for?" I snapped, glancing around the room. No one was on my side. If I stepped too far out of line, every single angel in the room would try to hurt me and put me in my place. That didn't settle well.
"We need you, darling, because you're a part of us now. Just take a seat." God's voice came out sharper than before. For some reason, I just obeyed him. I rolled my eyes and I stomped, for sure, but I still listened. I ended up sitting on the chair feeling like I was simply an achievement to him. I'm sure that I was. He'd taken one of the devil's army for the second time, and he saw me as a reward. I wasn't 'one of them', I was a trophy to show off.
After a short while of simply sitting in silence staring at the front door, an angel finally flew in. I recognized him vaguely as he came to a stop in the middle of the room. His big wings just... disappeared into his back before he motioned to the door. "They are here, sir."
Neither God nor Sam replied but the angel instantly flew away.
Another couple of moments passed before finally a familiar set of figures appeared in the doorway, escorted by around six angels that were practically on their asses. I almost lunged up to attack them, but I caught the gaze of Sam, who was begging me to just sit still. So I did, annoyingly.
