Chapter 14

"Agh! Stop dragging me Deku!"

"Well stop being such a slow poke, or else we'll be late."

It was around 9 pm and Izuku had snuck into Bakugou's house and dragged him out. Now they were basically running down town on the sidewalk, to some unknown place.

As they ran, the lights from the city seemed to shine brighter as they passed buildings and small shops. Cars were passing by with their headlights on, honking at them as they crossed the street. In that moment time seemed to just slow, Katsuki watched Izuku's green hair slowly blow in the wind as it picked up. He watched his brown jacket flow as well, revealing his tight black turtle neck underneath, and his black skinny jeans. Katsuki kind of wished he brought a jacket now as the temperatures seemed to be dropping slowly.

"Where are we going nerd?" Katsuki asked suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence they shared before. Izuku kept his head forward as he answered, not daring to distract himself. He seemed to be set on the location they were going to, which was always like him (he never liked distractions).

"We're almost there." Izuku mumbled out. Katsuki huffed and kept his eyes focused on the running green headed boy that held his hand tightly as they ran through the woods now. This was odd as they had been in the middle of the city just seconds ago, Katsuki was probably so distracted by Izuku's features that he didn't even realize. Shaking his head at this, Katsuki looked back up. Through thick and thin trees he saw an opening that seemed to lead to sand? Being confused in the slightest, he let the smaller male drag him further through the woods, awaiting whatever was beyond that opening.

As soon as Katsuki felt the crunch of the sand beneath his shoes, he knew they had made it. Izuku let go of Katsuki's hand and stopped in his tracks, catching his breath. Katsuki leaned over, gasping for air. And when he looked up, his breath was immediately taken away again. They were on a beach, the water cut off at the horizon as the sun sat upon the waves. It was mesmerizing how the water reflected the sky. Katsuki was speechless until Izuku bursted into joyful laughter.

"This is more beautiful than I imagined." Izuku said through his excited laughs. Katsuki agreed within his mind. He wasn't wrong, It was a beautiful sight to see. Picture perfect as they say.

"Where are we?" Katsuki asked. Izuku turned around to face him, a big smile on his face.

"I found this a long time ago, but now that I'm not alone anymore, I wanted to bring you here." Izuku explained. It was a bit saddening to think that Izuku felt alone every day.

"You were alone?"

"Well some days it felt like I was.." Izuku murmured, he scratched his neck as he now turned his attention the sand beneath his feet. Letting his arm drop to his side, he lifted his head up once more. "We're done with the depressing shit, strip your clothes off."

"W-what???"

"We're going swimming idiot, get into your boxers." Izuku clarified. Katsuki rolled his eyes and discarded his clothes off to the side. "Beat ya to the water dork!"

"Oh no you won't!" Katsuki began running at the water full speed with Izuku who was slightly behind. Thinking he was gonna win, Katsuki began laughing, slowing him down just enough for Izuku to get ahead. "Hey!" Izuku splashed in the water and fell into it, laughing his ass off at Katsuki who was angrily next to him. "You fucker!" Katsuki yelled splashing him with water. The next few minutes they spent having a water fight, splashing around like toddlers.

"Woah Kacchan look!" Izuku exclaimed pointing to the sky. Katsuki stopped splashing and averted his attention up. The stars were out now and just as he looked up a shooting star zoomed through. He smiled a bit remembering when they were kids wishing for stupid things. When Katsuki looked down again, he couldn't help but stare at Izuku. His hair was clung to his face but still messy, his emerald eyes reflecting the stars, his lips as the gleamed in the moonlight. He look magnificant.

Katsuki was so caught in the moment that he didn't realize how close he had gotten to him. Blushing he went to turn away, but a hand kept him from doing so. Izuku had his hand on Katsuki's broad shoulder, keeping him from moving away.

"Stay here." Izuku said smiling. Katsuki stared at the smile for a while before returning his gaze at the sky. Izuku stopped smiling and moved his hand off Katsuki's shoulder, letting it fall to his side. They stood there, silent as could be, staring at the stars above. It was relaxing. The most relaxed that either of them had been in a while.

Bakugou smiled at this and swatted the back of Izuku's head. Izuku winced and grabbed his head on instinct.

"Oww what was that for?!" He hollered with an angry grimace.

Katsuki laughed and spoke, "No reason."

"You jerk! Come here!"

The rest of the night, they stayed there play fighting each other.

The next day they couldn't help but smile at each other. Maybe they were starting to warm up to each other.
