"Welcome to the Karasuno High School Volleyball Club!"

You put your hands over your mouth in surprise, your eyes watering at the gesture. You pulled each of them into a huge hug, nearly shaking from excitement. You pulled back, smiling and blushing. You quickly wiped away the tears that had suddenly started cascading down your face.

"Thank you! I love you all so much," You said, bracing yourself for more hugs. You had only met them yesterday at lunch, but... It felt like they'd been your friends for eternity.

"WE LOVE YOU TOO, (Y/N)!" You yelped at the two boys that started to run towards you. You put your hands up in defense, afraid of them injuring you before you got to play, but someone seemed to catch onto your concerns ahead of time, grabbing you gently and placing you a few feet away from your previous spot.

You watched as Noya and Tanaka sprinted forward into the wall that had been behind you, missing you narrowly.

You smiled, your eyes a bit puffy, at your savior.

"Thank you, Suga-san," You said politely, chuckling a little. You patted the top of sulky-Noya's head, still grinning.

You zipped up your jacket with pride and resumed cleaning up the gym. You said bye to the team and reassured them that you'd lock up properly before class as a thank you and apology. It took a lot to convince Kiyoko, Ukai, and Takeda that you'd be able to handle it, but you were positive that you could lock up a gym by yourself. The third-years offered to stay and wait to walk you to class but you denied, politely sending them off. You needed some alone time.

You sighed when they left, tears brimming your eyes once again.

"They really care about me," You said with relief. You wiped your eyes, sniffling to yourself and smiling happily. "Dammit! Why am I always like this?"

Cleaning up the gym was a simple and easy task, since the boys had already done their fair share of assistance earlier. You were able to complete the job in less than ten minutes.

You glanced up at the clock when you were done and decided that you had some time to spare before class. You reached for the water bottle that the team had given you, only to realize that it was no longer there.

You sighed, realizing it was probably in the gym, which had already been locked up. This only left you to do one thing. Go to the vending machine.

Lucky for you, there was one right by the exit of the gym, and you could probably get water from there. Humming a random tune as you approached it, you nearly jumped out of your skin when a certain ravenette setter glared at you with daggers in his eyes, stabbing his straw in his milk with unnecessary force. You put your arms up in defense and put them down as his expression softened.

"E-Er, uh, sorry, (L/n)-senpai," He bowed and stammered a bit, leading to you patting his head awkwardly. "I thought you were Hinata."

"Just call me (Y/n) and don't be so formal, remember? I'm probably younger than you," Kageyama's eyes widened and he nodded. You moved past him swiftly, examining the different drinks you could get. Kageyama made you want milk instead of water, but juice looked good too. It reminded you of grade school. Although... soda seemed nice... After a minute of staring at the glass in front of you, you broke the silence between you and Kageyama.

You were just going to ask him if the orange juice here was good, but it only reminded you of that one tangerine, Hinata.

"Kageyama-kun?" He turned his head towards you curiously. "Why do you hate Hinata so much?"
