On the day of October five at exactly 5:32 PM, I just finished my journal. Yes, I am one of those decorative people who do artistic books diaries with inventive arts and crafts. Of course, having the storytelling of the day went in an old side burnt paper since that's what the usual thing I do. I already decorated all of the pages of my book with that art design. Pretty old design. Getting little comfy with those things and having fun a lot that's why I still do so things like that.
In fact, 'di naman ako busy ngayon at wala akong pasyente na inaasikaso. Just having a pastime.
Matapos ko rin maligpit ang journal book ko ay binuksan ko ang TV dito sa aking opisina para hindi ako mabore. Maganda narin na ma-update sa balita kaya naman nilipat ko ang channel kung saan may pinapalabas na news.
"Breaking news. Ang nasabing yacht accident sa outing ng pamilya ng businessman na si Richard Hayden ay napatunayang aksidente lamang at walang nakitang motibo na sinabotahe ito ng kalaban sa napapaloobang industriya o kahit pa man sa nagpapatakbo ng naturang yate. Matapos paimbestigahan ng pamilya Hayden ang paglubog ng kanilang sinasakyang yate sa kalagitnaan ng outing ay pinasara din ito. Dahil ayon sa mga pulis, malfunction lang sa yate ang naging dahilan ng paglubog. Nananatiling nasa maayos na kalagayan ang pamilya ni CEO. Richard Hayden at tuluyan nang pinasara ang kaso."
Hmm, di naman pala sabotahe ang paglubog ng yate ng CEO na 'yon. Siguro kasi dahil sa sobrang successful nila ay maaring may ibang tao na katulad niyang business person na inggit kaya naisip nila na sinabotahe sila. Sa bagay, kung may isang tao talaga na umaangat may mga tao ring hihilahin ka pababa dahil insecure sila. Mga tao nga naman.
"Allison Thompson?" Rinig kong sinabi ng nasa likod ng pinto.
"Yes, who is that?" I said.
Maya maya pa bumukas ang pinto at bumungad ang Director ng hospital na pinapasukan ko. Para magkaintindihan din kami sa kung ano man ang sadya ng director ay pinatay ko na muna ang TV.
"Oh! Director William Ruschenberg! I'm sorry 'di ko po alam na kayo 'yon?" Then I bowed to him. Napagbuksan ko pa sana ng pinto ang director kung alam ko lang na siya pala ang kumakatok.
"No it's okay, Dra. Thompson. I'm just here to congratulate you." He then smiles at nang makalapit sa desk ko, he gave me a hand for a handshake.
I accept his handshake with smile on my lips to tell how grateful I am.
"I'm so proud of you, Dra. Thompson. Nakapagpa-galing ka na naman ng isang patient na kailangan ng psychological treatment!" He praises and I found it fluttering.
"Biruin mo? The number of patients you've healed has added one more to its quantity, quite a lot now. In my whole journey here in CMH, you've been the best doctor I had." Pumalakpak siya at binigyan muli ako ng handshake. This time sobrang laki talaga ng ngiti niya at patuloy sa pag alog ng kamay ko kahit na alam ko kung ano talaga ang kinakatuwa niya sa napagtagumpayan kong trabaho.
May part sa director naming ito na pera lang ang habol. Hindi rin naman ako sigurado sa ugali niyang iyon at ayoko manghusga pero 'yon ang napansin ko sa kanya sa tatlong taon ko nang nagseserbisyo sa CMH. Ewan, hindi nga ako sigurado kaya hindi ko alam ang magiging reaksyon ko everytime he come here to congratulate me for a success treatment.
"Maliit na bagay po, Director." Sinabi ko nang may halong ngiti at saya sa aking mukha.
"Nakausap ko ang latest mong napagaling na patient, si Megan Brooklyn right?"
"Yes sir, si Megan po." Tugon ko sa kanya.
"You know she is very thankful that you've healed her struggle." The director said.
"Oh that was fluttering, sir. I'm thankful for the successful recovery and courage she had to be able to heal too. "
"Actually, nandito siya." He surprised.
"Talaga po?" Tumango ang director. Then tumingin siya sa pinto and called someone.
"Megan? Come inside!" Maya maya pa pumasok si Megan sa aking office ng may malaking ngiti sa kanyang mukha. In a second she widened her arms and hug me.
"Megaaaaan!" I shouted and give her a hug.
"Thank you talaga sa pagpapagaling mo sa'kin, Dra. Thompson. Malaki ang utang na loob ko sayo at di ko alam kung paano ako makakabawi, doc." Panguna niya.
"You don't have to, Megan. It's my pleasure and obligation to help someone like you." Niyakap ko siya at niyakap niya din ako from the thankfulness and joy of what we are feeling right now.

Si Allison Thompson ay isang psychologist sa Centre Morion Hospital (CMH). In her three years of services marami na siyang natulungang tao. Meron ding mga times na hindi niya napagtatagumpayan ang ibang patient dahil ang iba kasi'y nagpapakamatay at 'yong iba ay hindi sinasadyang mapatay ang sarili nila dahil sa uncontrollable mindset. O iyong mga hindi kinayanan ng therapy. O kaya naman the bond between the therapist and the client is not that working very well.
Minsan dahil sa lala ng sakit ng iba'y 'di nila nalalaman o naaalala ang isang bagay o gawain at nacucurious sila muli at bigla nalang kung ano-ano ang gagawin na maaring magdala sa kanila ng kapahamakan. All of those families who lost their love ones feels like Allison's lost too, like what every doctors actually feel about. Those ones who had been their patients and obligated to work for just to add more chances of their lives been also a part of every inch of their hearts. Gayun pa man, dahil sa sipag at tiyaga ni Allison siya ang rank 1 best psychologist sa CMH at nagiintay nalang siyang mapromote kung ano man ang ipagkakaloob ng tadhana at pagkakataon.
