I was woken up by someone gently shaking my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see that it was still daylight out and that I was now laying down. I rolled over onto my other side to see who was trying to wake me. It was Aizawa. I was confused as to why he, of all people, would be there waking me. I hummed tiredly as if I was asking what he wanted.
"Yamada finished making supper, so slowly make your way to the kitchen." he said quietly.
I wrinkled my nose and closed my eyes, "Can't I eat in here?"
"You need to move around too, you know."
I grumped about it and sat up unwillingly. "Fine, but just expect me to fall down the stairs."
"I'm going to make sure that you don't."
I slowly pushed the blankets back and pushed my feet over the side of the bed. I looked around as I asked, "Where's Chi?"
"Him and Rei are on I-island since there's a huge virus thing in some program and they have to help fix it or something like that...I don't know anything about that sort of stuff. Anyways, he sent us over here to make sure you don't do anything stupid while he's out and for you to have some sort of supper." he explained.
"How did they get there? I didn't teleport them...I think?" I started to second guess myself towards the end.
"Rikka did, but Chikao said that they would come back by plane, so there's no need to worry."
I nodded my head once, "Okay." then pushed myself off the bed to try and stand. I had a little more strength than what I had earlier on in the day. As I slowly made it out of the bedroom and towards the stairs, I said with a smile, "It's like old times, huh?"
"That it is." he agreed as he watched closely so I wouldn't fall. I stopped at the top of the stairs and looked down them as if staring at them would help somehow. "Take your time."
I looked over my shoulder to him with a mischievous grin, "Should I fall down them like old times?"
He deadpanned, "Don't make me carry you."
Yamada then ran around the corner as he held a ladle, pointing it at me as he said, "Don't you dare think of it!"
I leaned against the railing and laughed before I slowly started down them. Yamada stayed at the bottom to also make sure that I didn't fall. It took a slow minute for me to make it down them, but I did it without falling. I then went to the kitchen table and took a seat, which the other two followed closely behind. Aizawa sat down at the other side of the table while Yamada went back to the stove.
"Is Rikka here?" I asked.
"No, she's probably back at her dorm by now." Aizawa explained.
"Oh...how have they been doing so far? In school, I mean."
He looked up as he replied, "Well, Ryu is doing pretty good as usual. It seems like he's made some friends. Then Rikka has actually settled down somewhat. If you didn't know her that well, I don't think anyone would have noticed."
I hummed as I started to think about it a little. "Rin said that Toshi told Rikka that I didn't have the easiest life. Maybe she's thinking about what he told her." I paused and asked myself quietly, "What did he tell her?"
"Ask him." said Aizawa.
I wrinkled my nose and moved my head from side to side, "I'll leave it be. It's not causing any harm, so what's the use in digging up something now." As Yamada was grabbing bowls out of the cupboard, I turned to him and asked, "So, how about Rin? How's she doing?"
He turned around with the bowls and spoons before bringing them to the table as he replied, "She's still quiet as ever, but it looks like she's got two friends."
