Chapter 17

                 Russetfur's POV

After about seven sunrise Blackpaw was been doing so much better.

He was eating better, walking and any signs of sickness were gone.

Blackpaw was even starting training again.

Brackenfoot walked up to her, "hey have you seen Yellowfang?"

Russetfur shook her head.

Suddenly Yellowfang and Raggedpelt walked into camp with a dark brown tabby kit.

They walked to the Nursery. Russetfur followed them, they were talking to Lizardstripe who had her three kits Runningkit, Deerkit and Tanglekit.

Russetfur listened to hear what was going on.

"This is my son" Raggedpelt said.

"His mother wishes to keep her identidy a secret" Yellowfang said.

Russetfur froze.

Raggedpelt has a son! Is Foxheart the mother, their pretty close.

She focus back on the three cats.

"His name is Brokenkit."

Russetfur backed away and walked towards the Fresh-kill pile. She almost walked into Blackpaw.

"Hi."

"Oh hi."

"I heard that Yellowfang and Raggedpelt walk into camp with a kit" he said.

"Yep Foxheart is the mother" she nodded.

Blackpaw frowned.

"What's wrong?"she asked.

Blackpaw looked up at her, "come with me."

They walked together into the woods to very private part of the territory.

Russetfur sat down, "what is it Blackpaw?"

The white tom sat down and leaned his head towards her.

"Promise you won't tell anyone?" He said quietly.

She nodded.

Blackpaw took a deep breath.

"Yellowfang is the mother of Raggedpelt's kit."

Russetfur gasped in complet shock.

Medicine cats are forbidden to take a mate, let alone have kits!

"How do you know?" She asked him.

"I heard them talk about it, and i got caught. They made me promise to never tell anyone"he whispered.

Russetfur felt her heart skip, "Then why did you tell me?"

Blackpaw's eyes widened, "Uh, cause I, uh…" he trailed off.

She leaned forward, "You what?" She smiled.

Russetfur noticed that he was turning red.

Blackpaw took a deep breath.

"Because I love you."

Russetfur wanted to scream in joy.

He loved her! He loved her!

But then something caught her, what of he didn't know she used to be a rouge? She never told him.

Russetfur looked at him, "Blackpaw did… did you know I used to be a rouge?"

She waited for him to blow up at her, but he smirked, "Of course I did, everyone knows."

Russetfur looked even more shocked.

"And you still love me?!"

He grinned, "Of course…do you love me?"

Russetfur started to cry, she smiled and ran to embrace him.

"Yes, oh yes Blackpaw! I LOVE YOU!!" She screamed.
