Chapter 21

    Blackfoot and Russetfur's POV
                
                   Blackfoot's POV

After Yellowfang cleaned his wounds, she got up to get some more herbs, leaving Runnngpaw to watch him.

"Do you like being a Medicine Cat apprentice?" Blackfoot asked.

"Yes" he said.

"Yellowfang's a great cat" Blackfoot purred

Runningpaw looked up at him, "Why do you say that?"

He shook his head, "when I was an apprentice I got Blackcough really bad."

Suddenly Raggedpelt walked in, "Runningpaw I need to speak to Blackfoot alone please."

The small gray-and-white apprentice ran out leaving them alone.

Blackfoot started to stand up and he smirked in his mind, when he realized that he was bigger than the deputy.

Good, I'm not afraid of him.

"Blackfoot I want to thank you for protecting my son" Raggedpelt said.

Wait, what?!

"I'm sorry what?" He asked.

"I'm sorry I treated you so badly, i just didn't want anyone else to know my secret."

"It's alright"Blackfoot suddenly smiled.

"Friends?" Raggedpelt held out his paw.

"Friends" Blackfoot did the same.

He left and Blackfoot laid down again.

Wow I wasn't expecting that…

               Russetfur's POV

Russetfur saw Raggedpelt emerge from Yellowfang's den.

She walked inside to see Blackfoot lying in his nest.

She walked over and nuzzled him, "Why was Raggedpelt here" she asked.

"He thanked me for saving Brokenpaw" he said licking her ear.

Russetfur purred then looked at his side shoulder, there were four deep claw scratches.

"Did Thistleclaw give you those?" She asked running her touge over them gently.

He nodded, "and Tigerclaw, What about you? Did Adderfang hurt you?"

She shook her head, "No just a few scratches, he couldn't take me and Flinchflight on at once."

"Good, I love you" he purred.

"I love you too."

Yellowfang walked inside, "Ok Blackfoot, you can go now."

Russetfur brightened.

Perfect, Now he can sleep beside me again.

Blackfoot thanked her and walked out.

Night was falling, and the stars were rising in the sky. 

"Russetfur come with me" Blackfoot said.

Huh, what does he want? She thought as she followed him.

They walked out towards a dark area, it was surrounded by large thick pine trees.

"Why are we here?" She asked.

Blackfoot purred and pinned her to the ground, his paws gently on her chest.

"I truly love you Russetfur, with all my heart I love you" he said his eyes gleaming.

She purred, "I love you too my big warrior."

"Would you be my mate? You are the only cat I will ever love in this world, if you pass to StarClan and I'm still alive, I will never take another she-cat as my mate. My heart belongs to you."

Her eyes watered, "And mine to you."

Hey today's a snow day! Anyways Blackfoot and Raggedpelt made-up! Everybody is happy! Blackfoot wants Russetfur to be his mate, and she said yes!
