"Why do you keep interfering? Just move on, Lisa."

"Was I supposed to leave her there, knowing that her life could've been in danger?"

"Listen to yourself. You're talking as if the woman is unable to take care of herself. She's not 5 years old."

"If I had gotten there later, she would've been in deep fried shit. A woman should never go outdoors, late at night and alone. It's not anything about being grown up or mature enough to take care of yourself. You off all people should know that."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Don't make me spell it out to you. I'm dealing with part of the consequences that you have made. We don't want the same thing that you've done to me be repeated on her by someone else."

"It was a mistake, alright? I've said that I'm sorry a million times. What else do you want from me?"

"I've learnt that the more people you involve into your 'personal issues', the more problems are created. So, no I don't need anything else."

. . .

(A/N: Play the song above;)

"I'm up, I'm up!" I jumped up, and winced when I moved to fast and felt the throbbing pain at the back of me head.

I hate hangovers. Why did I drink that much?

I checked my "odd and unfamiliar looking" alarm and it hasn't rung yet. It's already past 9 a.m. in the morning.

I'm late!

Never mind being late, I'm in an unfamiliar room and I don't remember a thing from last night. How could I be so reckless?

Now I'm in the room of who may be a kidnapper or psychotic maniac.

"Holy sh--" I slammed my mouth shut.

Big doe eyes stared back at me with curiosity. Bangs and red tinted cheeks and lips.

I gulped and brought the blankets from the foreign bed that I was laying on, closer to my body to cover myself.

"Hey little guy." I said shakily.

He didn't respond, and just stared back at me in fascination, with his familiar set of eyes.

I started hyperventilating. How did I get here? There's a kid on the bed staring at me and maybe I shouldn't be afraid if there's a kid. For all I know, someone kind and humble saw that I needed help and gave me somewhere to sleep for the night, and this just so happens to be the kid's room and he was kind enough to share it with me, but this looks like no room for a kid because it doesn't have cool superhero themes or red and blue coloured walls and racer cars all over the floor--

Oh my god, I'm rambling and speaking no sense.

Breathe, Jennie. Just breathe.

I kept my eyes shut and counted one to ten and when I opened them, the boy still sat silently and stared, this time with a frown on his face.

The bedroom door quietly opened and I didn't know whether I felt relieved, shocked or both.

"Hey you, sneaky dude. So this is where you've been hiding, huh?" she said in a playful reprimanding tone, placing a tray (of what looked like breakfast and orange juice) onto the vanity.
