Her POV

Nakatingin ako ngayon sa may dagat habang nakasandal sa upuan habang nakatapat ang cellphone ko sa tenga ko.

"Hmm.. So how are you doing?" I asked the person on the other line.

("Well. I'm fine, where's Kiefer anyway? Let's meet each other when we have time")

Ngumiti ako. "Of course"

"So you know what to do now?" Tanong niya.

"Yeah" sabi ko.

("I hope that we meet each other soon, anyway I still have things going on here") saka niya pinatay ang tawag.

I sipped on my juice and closed my eyes.

It's true that I have business to do in here but more than that is to have a break.

May nagbabantay naman kay Zepp kung sakaling may hindi mangyaring maganda.

I still need to be aware.

It's been a while since I experienced this and looks like I've been slower than before.

Guess we really need to see each other again.

A small smile curved in my lips and spoke. "Alam mo bang masasaktan mo ang kapatid mo kapag inilayo ko si Zepp sa kanya?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"Yes I know. But what I'm doing is for her safety" sabi niya na nakatingin sa lamesa.

"Don't worry, Zepp is now hesitating and making his own decisions. Nakabase sa desisyon niya kung ipagpapatuloy pa niya ang paglapit kay Desiree o lalayo na. He knows the consequences" sabi ko at humalukipkip.

"And how about those threats?" Tanong niya ulit.

"What threats?" mahinahon kong tanong.

"Don't play innocent. you have a purpose right? you--" I cut her off before she say something that is unpleasant in my ears.

"just kidding, of course I wil have it controlled" makahulugan kong sabi.

"You're Zepp Alcantara's wife.. I'm curious, do you feel jealous whenever Zepp and Desiree is with each other?" Tanong niya bigla dahilan para lihim akong mapabuntong-hininga.

"I'm not" deretso kong sabi.

I even know that Desiree is enrolled to the school just to be with Zepp.

I know everything that is happening on Zepp.

"Please, alam kong hindi susunod ang kapatid ko sa sasabihin ko kaya ang kausapin ka para palayuin ang asawa mo kay Desiree ang tanging paraan para wala ng panganib pa sa buhay ng kapatid ko" she pleaded.

I wanted to laugh at her without humor but of course I will not do it.

I nodded. "Okay" simple kong sagot.
