"taehyunie!" huening kai called out and before taehyun could even react, he was being engulfed by a larger body. "you really came!" huening kai exclaimed with a huge smile like a big baby as he was happy to see taehyun after a long time.

"of course, ningning." taehyun replied, hugging the younger back. although, originally taehyun didn't really want to come.

a cough interrupted the both of them making them look towards the owner of the cough. it was beomgyu.

"what about me, kai?"

"nah, no thanks. i see you all the time." upon, hearing that, taehyun looked confused. "you two... know each other?" they both nodded in response.

"yeonjun hyung is dating my cousin, so we usually see each other a lot." taehyun's lips formed into an 'o' shape.

as they continued to chat, beomgyu noticed how taehyun was staring at huening kai. he was staring as if he was checking the other out which triggered the ravenette's jealousy.

"weren't you a bit shorter last year? how did you grow this tall??" taehyun question and huening kai shrugged in response. "you look the same though, tae." he teased causing taehyun to frown. "are you calling me short?!"

"maybe—"

"yah!! i'm not short! you're just too tall!"

huening kai starts laughing loudly like a dolphin whilst taehyun hits the younger boy's arms.

now, in any other occasion, this was an adorable scene, but for beomgyu it was not. especially, when he could clearly hear someone say, "is he dating the birthday boy? they look like a couple! how cute!"

beomgyu could feel himself fuming already. he hated seeing taehyun with someone else other than himself.

"did you see the haunted house, by the way? i was wondering if—"

the ravenette didn't know why he was so upset at that point that he quickly grabbed onto taehyun's wrist and pulled the boy towards him. "i'm his date and we were planning to go there, so i guess we'll be going now." with that, beomgyu roughly and quickly pulled taehyun with him.

taehyun was really fucking confused, but he couldn't do anything except nervously wave huening kai a goodbye with beomgyu still dragging him.

"wait—" huening kai tried to call after them since he was confused also, but they were already gone. "date..? since when did those two get close or even know each other?" huening kai questioned himself, scratching the back of his head in confusion.

"yah! what the hell was that for?!" taehyun questioned the older as long as they stopped. "nothing... just wanted us to come here." taehyun still seemed a bit skeptical, but when he finally took a glance at where they were, he realized that they were standing in front of the haunted house.

"the haunted house...? but why?"

"although, it isn't the same one we stayed together at, it still brings back memories." for some unknown reason, those words made taehyun's heart flutter.

"that still isn't a good reason why you suddenly dragged me here."

"fine." beomgyu sighed. "i was jealous, okay? is that what you wanted to hear?" he nonchalantly stated. there was no point in hiding it now even if he wanted to. beomgyu wanted taehyun to know that he was jealous. it might've hurt his self pride, but, at least taehyun would be careful around other guys.
