31st Verse

"Go! Bilisan niyo, lumabas na kayo." Sigaw ni Papa sa dilim.

Masakit ang mga paa namin at hirap lumakad dahil sa mahigpit na pagkakatali sa aming mga paa. Hindi ko alam kung paano niya kami nahanap pero ilang sandali lang matapos akong magising ay biglang bumukas ang pinto at pumasok si Papa para pakawalan kami.

Pakiramdam ko ay ligtas na kami at makakalabas na kami sa impiyernong ito.

He was looking around as we walk out of the room, his arms spread out as Lia and I hid behind him.

"Pa? Paano niyo po kami nahanap?" Lia asked suddenly.

I think I knew how.

"Hindi na importante 'yon, mga anak. Ang mahalaga, kasama ko na kayo." He answered.

He was right. I didn't about anything as long as we get out of here. I was selfish and I hated myself.

"Kasama rin po namin si Archer, Papa. Pero hindi namin alam kung nasaan siya." Sabi ko kahit alam kong wala lang naman sa kaniya 'yon.

"Unahin niyo muna ang sarili niyo." He replied, brushing me off.

"They took him away, Pa! Hindi natin siya pwedeng iwan!" Pagdagdag naman ni Lia.

He remained quiet. And he suddenly stopped para tumngin sa amin.

"'Pag sinabi kong tumakbo kayo, tatakbo kayo. Naiintindihan niyo?" Dahan dahan na bulong ni Papa.

"I'm scared." Sagot naman ni Lia na halos matumba na kakalakad. Her clothes were soaked with her own dried blood. A blood which dripped down from her head.

From the motor accident prior to this nightmare.

That's why she sounded so weak.

"Kailangan niyong maging malakas. Ililigtas ko kayo hangga't kaya ko. Promise me you will get out of here alive. Promise me." Madiin niyang sinabi habang naglalakad.

Here we go again with the promises.

Neither of us answered. Siguro may takot at pangamba pa rin sa amin na baka hindi nga kami makalabas dito. But we're finally safe, right? We already have our father with us.

Napalingon ulit ako kay Lia at sa natuyong dugo sa ulo niya. Hindi ko alam kung gaano na kami katagal nakakulong dito but Lia managed to stay strong despite of her condition.

I couldn't speak. I couldn't do anything anymore. This situation was completely out of my control.

And Archer was still missing.

Wala akong magawa kung 'di ang pilitin ang sariling tanggapin ito.

I still couldn't process what was happening. Where were we? How did we get into this? And... why? I had no idea what's happening around me. All I could hear was Lia's painful sobbing as we followed our father out.

A hint of conscience whispered the thought I was suppressing. I didn't know why we're here but... I think I had an idea who were involved.
