Perfume!

Perfume:

 

Perfume? What? Is she crazy? Are you crazy my dear writer? Is it even a topic to discuss?!

Well, yes indeed it is!

You see every time I tell one of my friends about this issue she gets shocked and doesn’t believe it until I explain further. You know even I was shocked when I first knew about it, and at that time I didn’t know why!

You know what is it? It is the hadith that reported a woman is considered an adulteress if she wore perfume to an extinct where she passes by a man and he can smell her….

The Prophet peace be upon him said: “If a woman puts on perfume and passes by people so that they can smell her fragrance, then she is such and such”, and he spoke sternly- meaning an adulteress-

Narrated by Abu Dawood (4173) and Al-Tirmidhi (2786”

You are all now thinking why is that?!

Well let me explain it… you see us humans are full of instincts and feelings, especially toward the other gender…

When a woman passes a man and he smells her, he gets tempted… you might be saying uff? Just by her smell?!

Well yes, his instincts would move and he would be tempted and here is where the Shaytan plays his perfect role and stirs in the man’s mind some dirty thoughts and filthy feelings, and the man can’t control it! Especially if the woman stays near him for a period of time!

You read in those romantic stories how a woman’s scent engulfs the man and bla bla bla… so I guess you know exactly how he feels and the thoughts that pass his mind….

And be careful, the hadith didn’t state that the women should smell bad- as some people defend themselves saying ‘do you want me to smell bad?’!

No dear brother who defends a woman or dear sister, the hadith didn’t say so! You can wear perfume but not too much!!

A simple thing such as excessive perfume can mark you an adulteress! And adultery is such a huge sin! Sisters be ware! Wallahi we have so many sins, uncountable sins, and our hope in allah Subhanahu w t’aala is huge to forgive us, but we should obey him and do what pleases him first

You can just spray yourself once, and as In once I mean small spray just in case you hugged another sister or were at close approximate with her and so that even if you passed men they wouldn’t smell your perfume…

Also there are the deodorants that don’t have a strong scent. You can use them to prevent the sweat scent to cover your body!

And if you are used to wearing a huge amount of perfume, try to lessen it gradually. For example, first time put the perfume bottle away. Second time, spray 3 times instead of 4. Third, 2 times instead of 3. Fourth, buy a perfume with a sweet and yet light scent, and so on….

It is simple once you begin with it! Just have a strong determination and you can do anything!
