Chapter 24: Bewitched By My Professor

When I woke up the next morning, the water's surface was gleaming as the sun slowly rose. I could also hear the whistles of seabirds outside. Napakagandang pagmasdan ngunit hungkag ang pakiramdam ko nang maramdaman kong wala na sa tabi ko si Hugh.

But when he walked into the cabin, my eyes lit up.
He was holding a breakfast tray on which was prepared a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich served between waffles and milk tea. Umiling ako. "Bakit 'yong iba? They do it naman with protection."

He took the breakfast tray from the bedside table and placed it in front of me. "'Yong iba 'yon. Iba ka sa kanila, Skye." Nahihirapan niyang sabi. I'm not sure, but it felt like he was just stopping himself from making love to me. Nakikita ko sa mga mata niyang gusto niya pero pinipigilan niya ang sarili niya. "You'll still mature and tell me when you're ready, okay?" He tapped the top of my head as if I were his pet, and it made me feel better.

Tumango ako. We ate in silence and brushed our teeth together. Panaka-naka ang titig niya sa akin at ganoon din ako.

I then decided to take a bath.

"Hugh! Pakiabot po ng robe!" sigaw ko mula sa loob. I washed the last of the bubbles from my body then I heard him knock on the shower room door. "Pasok ka!" sigaw kong muli.

"Don't make tease me, Skye." His eyes are still closed.

He shook his head.

"Anton informed me that the cabin is not soundproof." Alibi niya.
