They all reached their first camping site, it didn't have much slope area nor many trees. As Taehyung reached first, his team won the race. Others prepared the dinner and placed their tents.
The sun was sinking fast now; the sky had turned a clear, purple-tinged grey shade, but to the west, there was a ruby-red glow.
They were all seated near the bonfire and enjoying its warmth.
"Guys! There is a group of trekkers who have set up their camp nearby...they are having a party tonight...and have invited us, would you all like to go?" Bogum asked.
"What are we waiting for then?"
"But-"
"Shut up and let's go!!"
"Party time!!"
They all stood up excitedly. Jungkook has never been to any party or sort of anything. He was not comfortable going so he turned back.
"Hey, Kookie? Where? Come..." Jimin asked.
"Ah ya...just coming" Jungkook lied, he had no intention of going to the party.
After the evening dew was set in, their camping site looked like the ocean reflecting under the moon.
Jungkook was sitting at the campfire and gazing up at the stars, he loved watching the night sky.
Up above, constellations were gathered like they were keeping a watch on everything below. The stars surrounded the moon like a sweater surrounds a person when it is put on.
Jungkook was enjoying the view but he was alone. He wanted to go to the party but didn't have courage. He was mad at himself, why he was like this, shy and introvert.
Suddenly there was a ruffling noise from one of the tents, Jungkook flinched, he picked up a torch and aimed it towards the noise. It was Taehyung, the light of the torch directly fell on Taehyung's eyes, it seemed he came back for his jacket.
"Ahh...who is it?", Taehyung asked.
Jungkook switched off the torch.
"You shouldn't poke around in the dark, you never know what you'll find," Taehyung came while wearing his jacket, "Jungkook? Wait...what are you doing here? I thought you were with Jimin."
"Ah...it's just I didn't want to come to the party" Jungkook lied, he looked directly into the fire.
Taehyung came and sat next to Jungkook while studying his face, "Liar" whispered close to his face.
Jungkook faced him, "huh?"
"You're dying to come." Taehyung was looking at him directly. Their faces were dangerously close.
Jungkook started blushing hard and averted his gaze. "Not at all!" he lied again. He got up but suddenly Taehyung caught his hand and pulled him towards him. He bumped into Taehyung.
"Be honest, do you want to come, or not?" Taehyung asked softly with his husky voice.
Jungkook met Taehyung's eyes, His eyes looked brown from afar, but right now he noticed they appeared the colour of honey, due to the fire's reflection. They were bright and liquid warm, framed by beautiful thick lashes. Jungkook looked into them and nearly lost himself.
"Yes," Jungkook said timidly.
"Then what's the problem?" Taehyung distanced a little, giving Jungkook space.
Jungkook didn't want to lie to Taehyung anymore, he was tired "You won't understand Tae! These things are easy for you." He dropped his gaze.
"What's easy?"
"This...Going to a party, messing around with friends, being everyone's favourite...but I am not like this, I never went to parties, I had no friends neither in school nor in University, I used to just sit in the corner and studied, all this I couldn't do it then and I can't do it now...because I am...boring."
"You're very cool, Jungkook."
"No," Jungkook thought Taehyung was just sympathising and ignored what he said. He turned and was about to leave but Taehyung grabbed his hand again.
Jungkook's eyes again met those honey ones.
"The way you showed up on this trip last minute with 22 strangers, all alone...that needs guts. You fight off thugs, leave me behind in races, sing beautifully, ski like a master...you are a full movie hero, dude." Taehyung's voice was soulful and warm.
Taehyung came a little closer and whispered softly, "Just stop feeling so bad for yourself and start loving who you are, you're perfect just the way you are." Jungkook bashfully dropped his gaze.
"There is one problem, though," Taehyung said.
"Huh?" Jungkook looked up.
"You don't smile enough...do you know how dangerous your smile is?... Anyone would lose their heart to your smile," Taehyung gave him his warm boxy smile.
Jungkook smiled shyly at Taehyung's comment, his smile was adorable. His bunny teeth were visible and the way he scrunched up his nose when he was shy was the cutest thing Taehyung had ever seen.
For a half minute, they both stood there silently, smiling and staring at each other. Looking directly into each other's dark toffee drizzled eyes. Their faces shone like gold in that campfire and they were lost into each other.
"Jungkook...are you planning to let go of my hand?" Taehyung lifted his hand which was clenched softly by Jungkook.
Jungkook shyly retracted his hand.
"If you want, you are welcomed to the party, don't think much." With that Taehyung smiled and left Jungkook who was smiling shyly at himself.

Jungkook joined the party after a while. He spotted his friends at the bonfire singing songs, cracking up jokes, drinking.
His eyes met Taehyung's who was enjoying his drink, he raised his glass at Jungkook and smiled. Jungkook sat next to Jimin.
"Jungkook aa where were you?"
"I was just enjoying the night sky at our camp. I love doing that," Jungkook said the truth but he didn't mention what he was thinking while looking at the stars because his thoughts were now changed.
"Oh, okay" Jimin gave a warm smile and hugged him from the side.
"Let's go dancing!" Jimin took Jungkook to the dance area and others joined. They all started moving on the song's beat. Seeing others, Jungkook also started having fun.
He realized he was much happier when he was with his friends, he enjoyed their company, their stupid jokes made him laugh hard.
He felt he was in a different world when he was with them and this realization came with the help of the most amazing person he had ever met, Taehyung.

It was a beautiful chapter to write, it seems there is some sort of feeling growing in both of our main leads. ^_^ Let's see what happens next... :)
