Living With Her

XIV:Discoveries:Pt1

First, before we start i wanted to thank all of you for being so patient with me, life has been hectic and i had no inspo, nor ideas. But finally i got an idea on how to move forward. And hopefully you won't have to wait four whole months for a chapter again. Once again, an honestly huge thank you 🥺🥺🥺💛✨✨💛💛🥺🤧🤧🤩

Now I believe you all have been waiting long enough, so without further adu, chapter 14.

Time has passed(a few months or so). Adrien has settled into the Dupain-chengs home quite well, and Marinette has managed to keep her cool around him. Ladybug and chat noir have had their hands full with their new enemy. She calles herself the blazing dragon. And she somehow got her hands on the dragon miraculous, and had been quite a handful. Chat noir came by to visit every now and then, they became more frequent by the month. Their friend ship has been growing steadily, and chat has his suspicions on who his lady is, but he won't say anything.

So this is where we pick back up our story.

Adrien and Marinette both woke up to the smell of lemon chocolate scones wafting through the air. Their school was closed for a week due to a snowstorm that passed, and it was too dangerous to drive. Luckily, the snow had melted enough that the school was open again.

"Adrien, Marinette!! Wake up, time for breakfast!" Sabine called to the drowsy teens. The two scrambled out of their beds and began to prepare for the day.
In the time that had passed, Marinette had gotten used to seeing Adrien around her house. Her heart still raced at the sight of him however it was manageable, and she hid it well. The two have grown close, like siblings almost. In Adrien's eyes. At least that's what he told himself. Marinette ran past Adrien and plopped herself in a chair followed by a bed-headed Adrien. They sat and munched on their scones while Sabine washed the dishes.

"How did you sleep?" asked Adrien, taking a scone from the plate and thanking Sabine for the glass of orange juice she placed in front of him.

"Oh! I slept well..." replied Marinette

An awkward silence filled the room. Adrien had been hesitant towards Marinette regarding their communication. This made no sense to him, as Marinette was a wonderful friend and he had no idea why he was treating her as if she was unfamiliar to him. He couldn't help but feel that something had shifted in their relationship since he moved in. He wanted to be closer to her, but didn't seem to know how to do so. He shouldn't have any problems with talking to Marinette, he just felt unreasonably nervous lately. Adrien dared look at Marinette as she ate. He couldn't help but notice how her skin glowed from the night rest, or how her eyes lit up whenever her mother would pass by with a smile. Mother. Since he had moved in he began to remember what it had been like to have a mom. Sabine was so kind to him, always asking him how his day was, and listened when he had problems. Adrien realized now why Marinette was so happy all the time. It was because of her parents, and the unconditional support they gave her. He realized he liked seeing Marinette happy. She deserves nothing less, she helped everyone without hesitation and was extremely talented. He realized he wanted to make her happy, which brought him back to his current problem. How could he make Marinette happy if he started feeling nervous around her? It wasn't that he was uncomfortable, he could never be uncomfortable around her. The Dupain-Chengs had a certain welcoming aura around them that was sure to make even Hawkmoth smile. Adrien realized Marinette was speaking and he immediately shifted his attention to her.

"...so I was wondering if we could test it out for him after school?" she asked him

"Sorry what? I didn't catch that first part." he replied, upset that she had to repeat herself.

"Oh, no problem!" She said with a radiant smile. "I just wanted to know if you wanted to test out Max's new video game after school with me."

"Yeah, that sounds great!"

"Awesome!" They locked eyes and smiled softly at each other, until Tom came bounding down the stairs.

"Good morning family!" He shouted enthusiastically. "And how are all of you this fine morning?" Adrien and Marinette broke their gaze and turned to look at him and smiled at Tom while returning the greeting.

As they made their way to school Marinette kicked some snow around harmlessly. She gasped when she felt snow hit the back of her head and whirled around. There she saw Adrien with a ball of snow in his hand while beaming at her. She couldn't help but laugh and it seemed to be contagious as the two teens were now laughing and throwing snow at each other. They laughed all the way to school where they greeted Alya and Nino. They walked into the school together with smiles on their faces. When Marinette's gaze dropped to Lila. She immediately frowned in obvious annoyance.

"When you think about it, Blaze is actually really powerful, don't you think?" said Lila to the group of students around her.

Marinette gasped. She strained her ears to overhear her conversation.

"Honestly, if she were a superheroine she would one up Ladybug any day." she boasted. The crowd around her responded with positive chatter.
Mariette's annoyance only grew with each word that came out of her mouth. Marinette was just about to storm over there and talk some sense into her when she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Adrien behind her, a discouraged shake of his head told her that it was not worth it, and she knew he was right.

"C'mon Marinette, let's get to class."

"Alright..." She sighed.
Marinette took one last scalding look at Lila before noticing something on her neck. But Adrien pulled her away before she could tell what it was.

Yaaayy 4 whole months and there is finally another chapter. I wrote this whole thing on a google doc and it turned out to be 3,000 something words so, I thought i would split it up for you guys. Although i have all the parts compleated, I thought i would post them separately, because if they are all out at once and i am left with a half written chapter, yall won't be happy 😂. Part two will be coming out in a few days at most, im not sure yet. Again, one last thank you for being patient with me, it means alot 🥺🥺🥺
