can I hold on for a little while longer?
stay a while.
I don't want to have to wonder
if I should let go-
just a little more
star gazing,
one more wish.
shooting stars,
the way to my heart
is music.
that's my secret.
play along to my melody,
I don't care if it's a little off key,
we'll find a rhythm.
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
how many stairs do I have to take
to get to heaven?
when I'm with you I'm already there.
sing to me,
or maybe just read,
I love it when people tell me stories.
play with my hair
but please don't stare-
it gets a little awkward.
I like to paint
and write
and laugh
and sing
in case you'd like to know,
I try to rhyme
I waste all this time
but it doesn't always work.
spilling all my secrets
wow!
but everyone already knows.
I'm an open book,
you see,
and it honestly really shows!
one more wish
one more wish
before I embarrass myself even more,
I'd tell you what I wished for,
but if I did it wouldn't come true.
