He couldn't believe it! I mean, he knew it would happen at some point but what he couldn't believe was that you'd really left him.
He stood beside Beverly, glaring across the metal table. He rolled his eyes at you and Zeller, trying to contain his envy. He'd never known someone more capable of making you laugh than Brian and now he felt more self-conscious than ever.
Since you were now single, there was no reason for you to deny him if he asked you out. Ofcourse you'd agree if he did, he thought to himself, he was funny, friendly, had a stable job and didn't cheat on you.
"You really don't have a right to be jealous right now", Beverly stated, "she's happy and deserves to feel secure"
He huffed, voice shaking slightly as he spoke.
"I know. But I still love her and that it hurts that she doesn't love me anymore"
