"I've seen only a few cases where the victim does remember what happens," Lui wrote in his notebook.

(Y/n) and May sat in chairs in front of his desk, both weren't speaking.

"For example, (Y/n) had a short encounter with a Cold Case known killer," Lui pulled out an old document, "my brother, Jeffery Woods,"

(Y/n) winced at the name. She was only 16 when the accident happened all those years ago. That event where she lost her friend, it was caused her to want to get justice for any wrongdoing. Although now she wonders if she's a cause of it.

"This can't be Stockholm syndrome though!" May shouted "She escaped! I saw her...."

"(Y/N)..." Lui looked right at her. She could feel his cold stare, "I'm curious, there's only once case I can think of where someone's desperately in love with a killer,"

"I'm not in love," (Y/n) grabbed her arm, "I just...care about him,"

"It doesn't matter how you describe it, you have feelings for him. Whether it's romantic or not."

(Y/n) glared at him slightly as he continued, "the only time I've seen this happen, was with Nina Hopkins,"

Both friends raised their eyebrows, "who?"

~~~
Toby ran through the woods, holding his side. His boss wasn't happy with him and he knew. When he went into his office, the first thing he told him was to get out and find (Y/n).
So Toby did. Although he could tell by his tone he was angry. Was he mad at him? Or did he wanted something that he couldn't control?
God, Toby's side wouldn't stop bleeding. He applied more pressure ontop of the wound, even if he can't feel pain he wasn't going to let this slow him down.
It surprised him that he managed to escape. He was sure he was going to die in that moment. But for whatever reason the boss let him live.
Toby sat down under the tree. He looked around the woods how seeing them brown instead of the grey tint in color.
It was too easy that he escaped. Way too easy.
He should've died. Those were the rules. Toby knew when he gave up his humanity that he would die if he killed another pasta.
His humanity.
"Nina Hopkins, age 15 when the case first happened," May was reading the folder as they walked down to the car, "Basically was obessed with the cases online, which by this time was nicknamed creepypasta. She was obsessed with Jeff,"
"Anything else?" (Y/n) asked
"It seems like she's in the institution in the other side of town," May closed the folder while shrugging, "She got caught last year at age 19,"
The two friends sat inside the car, (Y/n) put her seatbelt on.
"So let me get this straight, Lui wants us to go visit Nina,"
"Yeah,"
"Why?" (Y/n) crossed her arms, "that doesn't make sense!"
"I think he's trying to prove a point," May turned on the car, "or maybe he's just trying to scare you,"
The two stayed silent after that. Neither of them spoke as May continue to drive towards the institution where Nina stayed.
~~~

After a while of driving, the two girls finally arrived. (Y/n) and May walked side by side to each other as they made their way towards the building. They made eye contact with the security guard who was standing at the door.

"Sorry girls, visting time is closed till 1 pm tomorrow,"

"Yeah we're not here for a friendly visit," May said monotoned

"We're officers (Y/n) and May from the heart of the city, were here on a little side mission,"

The two women pulled their IDs before placing them back into their side pockets.

"This couldn't wait till visiting times?" The security guard asked

(Y/n) rolled her eyes, ignoring his question, "We just need to see Nina Hopkins. It won't take more than ten minutes, tops,"

The security guard looked at the two women once more. He whispered into his shoulder walkie talkie, before finally scanning his card. The door's let out a loud beep and the sound of them unlocking filled the night.

"You two sure you can handle her? She's a bit, uh, unhinged,"

"Please," May smirked, "I think we can handle a teenager,"

The two walked down the hallway to find her room, leaving him behind. He stared at them as the door closed, whispering to himself,

"Don't say I didn't warn y'all,"

Finally, This story had me stumped for the longest time!

I couldn't figure out how to continue writing so I went on a hiatus.

But odviously I'm back! With a clear plan on how to continue moving forward!

Also, I might make do a back up account somewhere. Based on recent news, I'm afraid if Wattpad might delete my stories or something...

But I still haven't decided on where, so if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear it!

Anyways, keep an eye out for the next few chapters!
