"We have to go!" I said grabbing her hand. We went into the hallway. On each side there was a crowd of patients running towards us screaming. I spotted a open door. "C'mon" I said leading her into the room. I closed the door behind us and locked it then turned on the light. Thank God it can lock from the inside. "Shhh!" I said signing to her putting my finger on my lips. "Just stay quiet okay." "okay." They pounded on the door, trying to come in. We were in a storage closet. Looks like this is where the janitor keeps all of this cleaning supplies. It's pretty tight in here, barely any room to move especially with two people. "How long are we going to be in here?" She whispered. "I'm not sure. Until they leave I guess. Hopefully it's soon but everything will be fine, I'll keep you safe." I said to her. She's so scared I can see it in here eyes. I am too but I'm trying not to show it. If I show fear then she's going to be even more scared and I don't want that. I have to be her protector. I leaned in and kissed her lips. It calmed her down a little which is what I hoped for. "I love you." She said. "I love you too" I said back. "Even if we don't make it out of here alive just know that I appreciate everything you've done for me Peter" she continued. "Don't say that. Don't talk negative. We're going to get out of here. Safely. Me and you. Together." I said looking into her eyes. "Promise?" "Promise."
