After the battle at Sokovia, Clint returned to his home and the rest of us went to the new Avengers facility in the Upstate. I put the last of my clothes in my dresser when there's a knock on my door. I turn and see Steve standing in the doorway with his arms crossed, leaning against the frame.

"Hey." He says, taking a step into the room, looking around. "Room looks great."

"Thanks." I mumble. I sit down on my bed and place my stuffed rabbit in my lap, my fingers playing with its ear. "I made Tony make it fireproof just in case, uh, well, you know." I say, gesturing to my hands.

"Rebekah, what happened in Sokovia wasn't your fault." He tells me for the millionth time in the past three days. "You didn't mean for it to happen. It was an accident."

"But it was one that I caused." I tell him, looking up at him. "I'm the one that blasted the robot into the building. I'm the one that made it explode. I'm the one who killed hundreds of people." We sit in silence for a few moments before Steve speaks up.

"So, are you going to tell me what you meant when you asked Fury if he knew HYDRA wanted to make you one of their assets?" He asks. I sigh and look back down, setting the rabbit back on its place on the bed.

"Before I was frozen, Vincent would be chatty while he was trying to break me." I begin. "He told me that I was going to be their new Asset, the new face of HYDRA. Since Bucky ran after the fight at the Triskelion, they needed a new Asset, a new weapon. He said that was going to be me. They were going to freeze me, wipe me. Basically, they were going to turn me into a new Winter Soldier, only better. With powers instead of a metal arm and they were going to perfect the wiping process to ensure that I wouldn't be able to remember anything about my life, only my missions. That way they wouldn't have to worry about me running like Bucky."

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks after a moment. I shrug.

"You were already so worried about me and you were stressing over finding Bucky. I didn't want to add to that." I tell him before looking down. "But I guess I did that anyway."

"Hey, look at me." He says. I slowly look up at him. "You don't have to keep anything from me. No matter what's going on. You are my sister. I'm always going to worry about you. Whatever you need comes first. Before me, before the avengers, before Bucky. I don't want you to ever feel like you can't tell me something again. Okay?"

"Okay." I say quietly. "Thank you." I wrap my arms around his torso and rest my head on his chest as his arms go around my shoulders, resting his chin on my head.

"I'm with you till the end of the line." He says, placing a kiss to the top of my head. I smile.

"Till the end of the line." I repeat before pulling away.

"I'll leave you to get everything situated." He says, patting my leg and standing up.

"Steve." I say, making him stop in the doorway, turning to face me. I stand up and approach him, wrapping my arms back around him, taking a deep breath and closing my eyes, trying to savor the feeling of his arms around me and the scent of his cologne. "I love you."

"I love you, too." He says, planting another kiss on my head. I let go of him and let Steve leave, closing my door behind him.

I quickly pull out my special fireproof book bag Tony made me and throw some clothes in it along a few pictures and the rabbit. I sling the bag over my shoulder before sneaking to the armory, putting a few guns and knives in the bag. I walk back into my room and put my suit in it just in case I need it for some reason. I grab a notebook from my bookshelf and flip to a blank page, grabbing a pen.
