i wrote back in the neatest handwriting i could while writing extremely fast. i wanted to write more, but decided i didn't want to come on that strong.

i put it in an envelope and look over at the clock.

it's 11.

last night after anthony said he was going to be a better boyfriend, he decided he was going to take me out for a late lunch and get to know me even more.

he was going to pick me up around 1, so i had to be quick.

i put on my mask and yelled "see you guys in an hour!" and left my house before anyone could ask questions.

i also soccer mom walked down my street so no one could follow me.

then, i slowed my pace and my phone dinged.

basically anthony and i were fighting because it was our 5 months but he forgot, and he didn't know where to take me to eat
so then he went out with his friends
and i joined, but i started to freak out and i walked into this girl and we walked outside and talked and she told me to break up with him
and then he came and found me
and then after dinner we fought outside the restaurant which you saw
when we were in the car i was gonna break up with him but didn't want to make him angry while he was driving. and then he promised to be a better boyfriend.

i shake my head and roll my eyes.

i reach the tree and look around.

i decide not to put it at the base of the tree because someone else could easily take it, or it could blow away.

i climb up the side of the tree and settle on putting it between two tiny branches. it felt secure there.

i climb back down and brush my hands off.

i start to walk away and my heart flutters.

but it's just nerves. definitely.
