It would seem that Touya has made Katsuki very upset.

It wasn't intentional. Touya hadn't known that telling Katsuki 'no' would have caused the little blonde fluff to erupt into a tearful fit. He would have made the effort to console him but Katsuki's fit quickly evolved into a tantrum and now he refuses to take no for an answer. Touya doesn't like denying Katsuki any more than Katsuki likes to be denied but he simply can't budge on this one. Not only is it incredibly morbid but it's disgustingly unsanitary---even though Katsuki means well.

"Baby. No."

Touya feels a painful tugging his chest as Katsuki's lip begins to quiver and those tears start rolling again, big, bourbon colored eyes glistening unshed tears as he looks up at the alpha with a pleading gaze.

"B-But---"

"Baby boy. For the last time, I cannot let you walk around with that disease ridden rodent in your bare hands. It's gross and icky and---"

"No he is n-not! And if we do not bury him then he cannot go to the better place a-a-and then the flowers won't grow out of him!"

They'd found the poor thing on the side of the road while on their way home from a day in the sunflower field. Katsuki had been telling Touya how absolutely adorable he thought the fat little bumble bees were when the stench hit them both like a freight train---a raccoon belly up and stiff as a board in the gutter. Katsuki insisted that he needed to carry him back into the field to bury him, ready to peel him from the pavement with his bare hands when Touya forbade him from taking another step closer.

This resulted in Katsuki's heart-wrenching meltdown.

His poor baby is so confused as to why he's not allowed to help his fuzzy friend in passing, accusing Touya of being unnecessarily heartless and mean no matter how many times the raven tries to explain to him why it's not a good idea.

"I-I-I want to help this one!"

"Honey, you really can't."

"But I have to!!!"

He's becoming increasingly more distraught every time Touya tells him no, drawing a rather concerned crowd. Most of them seem to gather that Katsuki is upset about the little raccoon; Touya can see the sympathetic looks on their faces from here. The alpha sighs, exasperated with the heavy feeling of guilt that washes over him as Katsuki's sniffles and whines begin to weigh on him more. He squats down until he's eye level with him, taking his lover's tear-soaked cheeks in his palms to try and calm him with light scenting.

"Angel. Help me understand what you're trying to do so I can try to help, okay? I don't like seeing you upset but I really can't let you touch that thing or you might get sick---"

"He is not a thing ; how could you be so cruel!"

"I'm not trying to be, baby. Alpha is very sorry; I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm just a little confused, that's all. Can you help me understand?" Touya reiterates, being as gentle as he possibly can and making a mental note to watch how he speaks when addressing animals as Katsuki seems to take it to heart. He bares his neck in apology, expecting for Katsuki to bite him and assert himself but he realizes that his darling boy is still figuring out the dynamics of this all.
