I sighed as I see the glistening sun brighten up my room, making my sheer white curtains even more luminous.

I wondered if this is how heaven looks like.

I could feel the warm heat from the sun stroking my ankle. It felt very comforting.
I squinted, looking up at my room ceiling, sighing heavily. It's Monday and I have a morning class.

Waking up in the morning has always been a struggle ever since I was young. I originally inherited the trait from my mom, who always complained and refused to acknowledge it. She treated her mood swings with the help of "Dr Jesus" and she didn't see why I couldn't do the same.

So every morning has always been a struggle with her around

So every morning has always been a struggle with her around.

It's Either she's shouting at me for the leftover dishes I forgot to clean or making small talk as if I'd enthusiastically answer back at 6 am.
