Hanging out with Vinnie was honestly the funnest thing I've ever done in a while.
I take him shopping with me and all he did was act like a goofball. He always knew how to make me laugh.
At first we would just go out in public just so we could be seen.
But i think i'm actually catching feelings. And thats what i was afraid of.
"What are we going to do?" I looked over at Woody who was knocked out on the couch.
I shrugged the thought out of my mind and set my laptop on my lap.
Then there it was... a Hollywood Fix video.
"Noah Beck reacts to Verona and Vinnie Hacker getting closer"
I was so tempted to click on it. But then i realized... i don't care what Noah thinks.
I'll never be happy if i keep checking up on Noah.
I exit out of youtube and go to Netflix.
I was waiting on Vinnie to text me when he was free to FaceTime. We literally do every night. It was the highlight of my day.
"Hi beautiful." I started smiling all crazy as Vinnie's face covered my screen.
"Hi cutie." I wave.
"What are you up to?" He laid his head on his pillow.
"Nothing much. About to watch some netflix. And you?"
"Thinking about my fake girlfriend." He gave me a cheeky grin.
"Aww." I laugh. That was when i got a knock on my door.
"Uh oh. Someone is knocking." I stood up.
I wasn't expecting anybody.
I opened the door and legitimately almost shit myself.
"Uh Vinnie... i'll call you back." I hung up the face time and just saw Noah standing at my door.
He had tears in his eyes and tears on his cheeks.
"What are you doing here?" I crossed my arms in confusion.
"Are you in love with Vinnie?"
"Why do you care?"
"Because i care Verona!" He raised his voice. "I still love you."
"Don't ever say that word to me. Because its all meaningless to you." I let out a sigh.
"Verona!" He walked in.
By now Woody was barking at the commotion.
Noah closed the door and never let go of eye contact.
"V." He sobbed.
"Noah im serious why are you here?"
"I just need someone right now. Dixie broke up with me."
"Okay?"
He was taken aback my my reaction.
What did he expect me to do? Drop to my knees and fall in love again?
Once you break someone's heart and move on... the other person has no other choice but to move on as well.
And although Noah will always have my heart... i know I could never put myself through that pain.
I know it wasn't supposed to be real but I'm actually catching feelings for Vinnie.
And i genuinely see us going far.
"I don't want you with Vinnie." He sniffled.
"Noah you don't get a say. I didn't want you with Dixie but look at you now. Crying over her. If only you would cry over me the same way you're crying over Dixie." I let out a sigh.
"Things would be different if you didn't give up."
"Then lets not give up." Noah pulled me closer by the waist.
He tried to kiss me but i backed off.
"Its too late." I cried and pushed him off.
"Ver-"
"Leave."
"But I-"
"I said leave!" I scream at him.
He stared at me for a moment. With instant regret.
Then he did as told and left.
I fell to the floor and just cried.
I cried for 20 minutes.
"Verona!" I jumped at the voice.
Vinnie ran to my side and picked me up.
"Vinnie? What are you doing here?" I freaked out.
I didnt want him to see me like this. On my living room floor.
"You hung up the call looking scared. I thought something was happening. I got scared." He gently pushed the strands of hair out of my face.
I just continued cry but this time in his arms.
