After their little childish banter at the Le Meridian, things had been turning out pretty well between the two of them. They had been working all day, stashed in William's cabin when he abruptly left the office without a word. Macy was a little disappointed about that but she let it go knowing he was still her boss and he could do as he pleased.

William had dismissed his driver and drove home. It was not a place on the top of the priority list for William but then he couldn't disappoint his parents either. William entered his flat and was welcomed by the usual fight between his parents.

''Jonathan what does she have that I don't for god sake. Give me a chance. Why the hell are you doing this'', his mom sobbed.

''Emily, look I have got nothing to explain because ideally I don't want to spend the rest of my life running to the court for your guilty son'', his dad shouted.

''He's not only my son Jonathan he's yours too and don't you ever forget that. My son is innocent do you get that'', they were completely unaware of his presence in the living room.

''Evening'', William instantly regretted returning.

In a jiffy the atmosphere of the room changed and his parents acted as if nothing had happened.

''Good evening son'', his dad smiled.

''Is it?'', William muttered and made his way to the dining hall.

''Let's have dinner dear, you must be hungry'', his mom interrupted the brooding silence.

''Well, I am glad you noticed'', William barked.

''Oh Will, please explain to your dad. He is least bothered about Jake. Tell him what's true'', his mom looked up to him teary eyed.

''What the hell should I say. You've made my life a living hell. What is it you want me to say, that Jake dint murder his girlfriend, that all the proofs are to frame him, that you trying hard won't work, that you even fighting this case is making our lives difficult. We have talked and discussed about this time and again but your thick skull wont except the fact that Jake is a bloody murderer'', William growled.

''I have had enough of you too. Thank you for the dinner'', William pushed his uneaten plate away.

'Will, Prim is going to be here for a holiday'', his dad followed him to the door.

''I know that and you two better keep your filthy paws off her'', William left. He had rushed to his office only because he knew who would be waiting for him there but then reality hit home and he realized it's a Friday and Macy must have left early. He clumsily made his way to the office and to his surprise the lights were still on.

''Mr. Clark'', Macy lift her head up from the files, to say she was glad he was back was an understatement.

''You should be home, its Friday'', William was secretly happy to find her put.

''I'll be off in a few'', she smiled secretly. In reality she was hoping he would come back to work since he had left so abruptly and as insane as that sounds she did miss their banter while he was away so she did what was best, wait for him to say good bye.

''Not happening its overtime, I'm taking you for dinner'', he looked at her sternly but Macy knew otherwise.

''Ok, but my choice of place and my treat'', she never failed to challenge him back.

''How about your choice of place and the dinner's on me'', he smiled.

''How about my choice of place and I treat myself while you stay back and dive into your work'', she pouted sarcastically. He quickly pulled her closer to him by her waist, tracing her lips with his fingers.

''Just one of these days I am going to wipe that pout off your face Ms. Henderson'', he smiled against her ears as he felt her heart race. She simply looked into his eyes wanting to bottle this moment, him and her this way because that's all this was going to be right. She wasn't unaware of his track records with women, she dint want to be just another someone he would win over and then dispose off at his own convenience. He noticed the discomfort seeping into her eyes and immediately let her go.

He agreed to her demand of it being her treat, knowing she wasn't backing down anytime soon though Macy caught him running his hand through his hair in slight frustration, a habit he had developed when he seemed to loose an argument.

They were at Jerry's, a rustic café with wooden chairs and tables and whimsical paintings on brick walls. It was nothing fancy but still had a very warm and welcoming feel to it.

''Are you ok here'', Macy was nervous with anticipation, it wasn't a place he would generally dine at right.

''This is perfect'', he smiled. The waiter was quick to place a menu in front of them for them to decide.

''They are super famous for their burgers, Mr. Clark, I'm going for the Chipotle Double'', she ordered enthusiastically.

''William please, Macy and make that two, thankyou'', he looked at the waiter and then at Macy.

A moment later the table was occupied with two big burgers with mugs of chilled beer.

''This is so good'', Macy moaned in appreciation. William nearly choked on his beer with that reaction, that sound she made was sexy and distracting all at once. He tried to control his hardness peeking through his suit pants, he was going to have a serious case of blue balls after this.

As soon as they finished their dinner Macy cleared the tab and William looked at her disapprovingly, his mouth set into a hard line and she rewarded him with another pout.

He immediately pulled her closer, his hands bravely wandering over her curves, that ass of hers was doing things to him and he wanted to claim it but he knew it wasn't the right place and the right time so he rested his hands on her waist taking a whiff of her vanilla scent.

''I had warned you Macy, god help me if only this wasn't a public place, I would have sucked the life out of those lips'', his voice was raspy and the way his hardness pressed into her she knew he was turned on. She looked at him in surprise, he had never let his guard down this way but who was complaining and before she could react or comment he turned to neutral.

''I will drop you home'', William insisted and Macy was too tired to protest anyways so she gave in.
