Chapter 27 - Jichu The Great Counsellor

Today is one of those days in which I can finally sleep until my heart and body's content. So, I did. Though truthfully speaking, as I continue to sit on my bed, I can't help but to wish I could go back to my dream. 

Everything back there was just so nice.

The warmth I felt in the dream was so... comforting. It was like nothing else mattered besides that moment. And most importantly, a certain someone was there too. She didn't do anything in particular, just sitting beside me with her generous smile, but when I looked into her gorgeous brown orbs, I felt as if she has done everything to me. As much as I don't want to admit it, just thinking about it makes my heart flutter... 

That is until a ping emitted loudly from my phone made it almost jumped out of my chest. I am glad none of the servants has chosen this exact moment to come in. With my limbs abruptly moving in a unknow way being the first thing they see as they greet me will not be an impressive sight. With my hand over my poor heart, I sighed loudly, letting the tension out of my body. 

First, it was beating madly because of a dream, now it almost fails me just because of a notification. Ugh, I don't know if my heart could take more of these. 

After I recovered from the shock, I took this as my cue to start my day. With a fresh face and a new set of clothes, I went straight to the kitchen. Today Mrs Lee has made kimchibap. One of my favourite dishes in the world. Sadly, I'll be enjoying this on my own. Father has yet gone on another business trip with his colleagues. We do call each other whenever we have the time. During the calls, he would always show me stuff that he found interesting along his journey. I miss him already. 

Just when I was contemplating to call him now, another message came in. It was then I remembered the notice from earlier. I turned on my phone and saw a familiar name on the screen. Hm... a message from Jisoo unnie. 

Jichu unnie

-Hey, I'm coming to your house in an hour alright? I know how you can get when uncle's not here. Let's be lonely together 😌. 

-Yah, Jendeuk you better read this cause I am NOT going back just because you're lazy. 

I rolled my eyes at the device with a smile as I type in my reply. 

Jendeukieeee

-Its not like you need my permission to come in anyways. 

-You've been here for a million time already, unnie.

With that settled, I put my phone down and continue to devour my kimchibap. Even though father is not here to scold me,  the no phone while eating policy still stands in the Kim's name!

"Why, hello, Joe," I heard Jisoo greeted our butler with a rather serious tone, causing him to eye the girl amusingly. Unfortunately, the silent didn't stay long as both of them burst into laughter. "It's so nice to see you again, Joey! How long has it been? A couple of weeks?" Jisoo grinned widely as she pulls the man into a hug.
