Chapter 2: The Dance

August 5th 1955

Packard and the rest of the gang sat near the jukebox, Maybellene by Chuck Berry played as patrons danced with their friends. T-Bones looked to Packard

TM: So.. you see the chick anywhere?

PC: No. I don't

SH: Angie, dead ahead

PC: Huh?

Packard looked to where Sammy's what's looking at, and he saw Angela in a vibrant colored dress and a pencil skirt. She looked rather daring and dazzling in her outfit, and Packard smiled in awe

SH: We gotta get something real quick, be right back

Sammy, T-Bones, Dash and Ziggy walked off to the concession stand leaving Packard alone and waiting for Angela to come to him. Packard stood next to the jukebox as Maybellene slowly came to an end and he just mumbled the song. Soon the gang came back

SH: Hey Packard! I got a surprise for you.

PC: .. oh yeah?

SH: Yeah-hah!

Sammy and T-Bones walked to the side and Angela walked up to Packard. Packard's eyes widened in joy amongst seeing Angela

PC: ANGIE?!

Angela's eyes widened as well as she made the biggest smile on her face upon seeing Packard

AW: PACKY?!?

Ziggy strutted to the jukebox after Maybellene ended. He put a coin into the slot and Earth Angel by The Penguins played. Everyone else danced a slow dance while Packard stared at Ziggy while Ziggy made the cheesiest grin in history

PC: Damn you Ziggy!

ZH: Happy marriages kid!

AW: Don't mind him...

Packard looked to Angela as she showed him her hand as an offer for something

AW: Care to dance?

Packard looked to Ziggy giving him a thumbs up, Packard smiled and shook his head but Packard danced with Angela anyway. Packard and Angela held hands while slowly dancing their slow dance, Packard felt as if he was in a calm space

AW: Oh Packard.... It's been so long since you danced with me.... Why don't you know where I live or what my mama looks like?

PC: You know I can't date you.. It's my way of living..

AW: You can't be the only one alone in Slam.... I bet you have lots of sweethearts...

Packard gave a smirk as they danced

PC: Do you count?

AW: You know I love you big daddy-o

Packard and Angela giggled for a little amount of time and went back to dancing

AW: Packard..

PC: Hm?

AW: I wanna kiss you..

Packard blushed for a small amount of time and offered his hand for Angela to kiss. But Angela put his hand back

AW: No silly! A real kiss!

Angela leaned in close and gave Packard an intense shock from her kiss. The gang looked over and they gasped in disbelief and sheer joy of Packard getting kissed by Angelia

ZH: HOLY SHIT!

SH: YEAH PACKARD!! WOO!!!

TM: Get em kid.. Get em

JA: Outta boy Packard!

Angela and Packard touched lips for a few seconds and Angela moved her head back whispering to Packard

AW: I love you Packard...

PC: I love you too Angie...

TM: Aren't they cute?

SH: Like 2 lovebirds in February

As the song came to an end, Packard and Angela held each other and the music ended soon enough. Outside, Packard and Angie went to T-Bones' car

AW: *giggles* What a dance hm?

PC: Yeah it was

SH: I saw you kissing loverboy!

ZH: Packard and Angie, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

AW: Can you even get a girlfriend Ziggy?

PC: She's still feisty too!

AW: smiles to Packard putting her head on his chest You know I'm feisty for you babe!

T-Bones, Sammy, Ziggy, and Dash leaned over to Packard going ooooh next to Packard

PC: Oh cut it out! You want us to drop you off to your house Angie?

Angela nodded her head and smiled

AW: Mhm!

SH: Ooh, Ringa-ling-ding loverboy. You'll know where she lives hound dog

Ziggy made a wolf's howl to mock Packard

PC: Cut that out

AW: Packard, do you have a car?

PC: No, We gotta ride in T-Bones' bent eight

TM: I prefer Hudson Hornet Twin-H convertible if you don't mind

SH: Now you're being a show-off

TM: Oh be quiet Sammy

PC: Well? Let's get in!

Angela and Packard sat with Ziggy in the back seat as Sammy sat on her usual edge of the car seat as Dash got in the passenger seat and T-Bones got in his own driver's seat starting up his car

Angela: pulls out a folded note Here! Have this gives the folded note to Packard

It was a note of Angela's address and her phone number with XOXO on it

Packard: Huh.. you really want me to come over?

Angela: nods her head slowly Mhm

T-Bones drove off to Angela's house, after 7 minutes they arrived at Angela's house at Amity Acres near West Suburbia where the once rich kids sat and gazed at their humble ode. Angela soon opened the car door and got outside walking to her house as her mother walks out

PW: Hey! I know you points to Packard

Packard pointed at himself confusedly

PC: You know me?

PW: You're the guy who loved my daughter since 1953!

Packard chuckled and shook his head

PC: Nah ma'am, That's not what happened. She talked to me in 1953 in film class after I cracked a joke next to her. I think she likes me

SH: Think?!? You're in love with her and she's in love with you Loverboy!!!

PC: Oh shut up Sammy

JA: Angie I love you!

ZH: Angie I do!

SH, ZH, TM, and JA: in unison When we're apart! My heart beats only for you!

Packard covered his face in his own leather jacket to hide the fact he was blushing

TM: Oh look! He's blushing!!

PW: I hope you can come over to the house

SH: Hmm... I don't know looks over at Packard with a cheesy "Oh Packard" look. Packard?

Soon T-Bones, Ziggy, Dash and Sammy looked to Packard with that "Oh Packard"
stare

PC: Still covering his head ........I'll think about it....

SH: THINK ABOUT IT?!? You have to go!

PC: Do I really have to go?

TM, SH, JA and ZH: in unison Hmmm...... YES!!!

AW: Ooh.. don't break my heart babe

PC: chuckles Oh Angie

AW: Oh Packy~

SH: DING DING! Loverboy railway has entered the Warburton station!

PC: looks over to Sammy Oh shut up Sammy looks back to Angela So, what time

AW: Afternoon would be nice

PC: How's about you come over to my house?

AW: her cheeks turned pink as she turned away for a second then looking back to Packard I don't know if my father would like that

PW: Oh no! You can go to Packard's house!

TM: Neato, the house is in Amity acres, The one story house with the Hudson Hornet Convertible

PW: Got it thank you

AW: Goes up to Packard Bye sugar

PC: See ya sweetheart

Angela gives Packard one final kiss on the cheek and walks to her mother. Packard smiled all aroused with him glowing all red

TM: Look at you buddy boy, You're like a cherry kiddo

PC: Let's just go home

TM: Ok loverboy

T-Bones drove off to Amity Acres. From that night on, Packard's relationship with Angela was growing to a more and more love-like blossom. It's as if he's reliving 1953 all over again
