You woke up to Cedric whispering for you to wake up, you rubbed your eyes and quickly hugged him "I hate that you're in that tournament, but good luck." you said pulling away and forcing a smile. He smiled at you back, he seemed really proud about being in it "If you need any help with any of the tasks, Ced, you can ask me." you promised and he just nodded in thanks. "I would stay with you, N/N, but I already missed my first class." Your expression faltered but you quickly forced a smile, hoping he wouldn't notice "That's quite alright, I'll come looking for you later." you told him and laid back down.
You napped for about an hour until you decided to go back to your common room, Madam Pomfrey said you could miss your classes today and already told your professors.
When you entered your common room you saw Crabbe and Goyle sitting on one of the couches laughing, probably about something stupid. As much as you didn't like them, you walked up to them and crossed your arms "Blaise and Draco?" you said shortly and they both stopped laughing. "What about them?" Goyle said stupidly, "Well, where are they?" you said and raised an eyebrow. "Herbology." Crabbe answered shortly and you left the room, you forgot you had all your classes with them.
You went straight outside just to find everyone was leaving Herbology class already, you searched around for your two friends. Dracos blond hair shining from the sun caught your eye and you ran over, bumping into some random kids and murmuring a "Sorry!" now and then. "Y/N?" Blaise questioned when you got over to them "I thought your classes were dismissed for the day?" he continued, you shrugged. "I wanted to go." You lied, you wanted to see your friends. "Transfiguration's next." Draco said flatly, "Where's Daphn-" you stopped, spotting your friend. "Daphne!" You said and motioned her over, she grabbed your upper arms and looked you up and down "How are you feeling?" she questioned and you just smiled, pulling her in for a hug. She hugged you back tightly, not many Slytherins are affectionate, it's not in their nature but Daphne was and you were glad for that.

Once all your classes were over you parted from your friends and went to see Cedric. You first went looking for him in the library, then in the Prefect bathroom but still couldn't find him.
You found Cedric out in the yard speaking to Harry, you waited until they were finished to approach Cedric, "Hi, Y/N." Harry sais before leaving and Cedric smiled, you could tell it was forced "Harry just told me the first task." your expression completely dropped, the first task was this weekend and you forgot? "It's a dragon, I have to fight one for my first task." You hugged him tight and let go after a few seconds, realizing how much taller than you he was. "Be careful, Ced." He nodded "I promise. Will you be there?" he questioned with a little urgency in his voice, you quickly nodded and grabbed his hand and squeezed it lightly. "Of course!" You smiled a little, this was going to be dangerous but he wanted to do it. "Promise me you'll be safe?" He grabbed your waist and leaned down, you went up on your tiptoes and your lips brushed his and he pulled away "I promise." he said before walking away. You stood there for a moment, at a loss for what to do. You decided it best to go find Daphne and tell her.
On your way looking for Daphne you accidentally bumped into Harry and fell over, he extended his arm and you took his hand, he pulled you up. "I'm really sorry," You said quickly, he looked you up and down with a smile "Don't worry, Y/N!" he assured you.
The two of you stood there in awkward silence for a moment that Harry finally broke "Have a date to the Yule Ball yet?" he asked and you just shook your head briskly. "I haven't really been thinking about the ball, it's quite far away." You said and he nodded "Y/N." you heard Draco and looked over to him, you rolled your eyes seeing Dracos smirk and Harrys scowl. "Actually, Potter, I was planning on asking L/N to the ball." You raised an eyebrow at Draco "I'm not your property, Malfoy." you said sternly. Everyone was silent, "Now, have you seen Daphne?" you asked Draco, breaking the silence "Common room." he mumbled and you left, walking briskly down to the dungeons and into the common room.
