You woke up early the morning of the first task and immediately went to the library looking for Cedric, you had a feeling he'd be there.
Just as you thought, Cedric was there reading, he looked exhausted. "Ced?" You said softly and he jumped "You alright?" you asked and he nodded briskly and combed his fingers through his hair in stress. "You should go to sleep for a couple hours before the first task." You told him "I will. Are you going to be there?" he questioned and you frowned "Obviously! I wouldn't miss it." you reassured him.

Daphne, Draco, Blaise and you went into the stands and looked at the tent which the champions will come out of to fight their dragon. "Cedric Diggory!" You heard and stood up in anticipation and fear. You watched Cedric walk out, he looked tired. He battled the dragon and had a big gold egg in his arms, A clue for the second task? You thought before rushing down off the stands and straight to Cedric. "Ced!" You shouted, running up to him "That was truly anazing." you admitted once up to him, he beamed. Cedric set down his egg and hugged you, his triwizard outfit charred from the dragon, he smelled like smoke. You squeezed him tight before letting go and he took your hands in his "I saw you in the stands," he admitted and you smiled at the thought of him looking for you. "Is the egg a clue?" You questioned and he picked it up and shook it beside his ear "I really don't know." he said and shrugged.
Cedric and you headed to Madam Pomfrey since he had minor burns and cuts but nothing too bad.
Once Cedric and you had arrived to the Hospital Wing Madam Pomfrey gave him medicine and said he'd be there overnight. "Would you like me to stay with you?" You asked and he simply nodded, you were going to be there for him like how he was for you.
"Y/N?" You heard a familiar voice say after entering the Hospital Wing, "Over here, with Cedric." you said as you watched Draco walk over. "Harry sucked." Draco smirked and you just rolled your eyes "He's okay?" Cedric asked concerned and Draco just scoffed. "I think that means yes." You whispered and Draco elbowed your ribs. "Tell Daphne I'll be here overnight, will you?" You asked Draco who briskly nodded and stalked off.

You spent the night with Cedric and he woke up looking a lot better. Him and you left the Hospital Wing "N/N, I think I'm going to try and figure it out, I'll see you later." he said as he parted down a separate hallway and you waved.
You went down into your common room and Blaise ran up to you and locked his arm in yours "Hogsmeade?" he asked with a smile and you nodded. The two of you turned out the door and left on your way to Hogsmeade. The walk felt quick, Blaise and you chatted the entire time. He lead you into Madam Puddifoots Tea Shop and you went and sat down at a table "I've never been in here before." you admitted and he smiled "It's cozy," you beamed and took in all the different scents.
"Apparently there's a few boys wanting to ask you to the ball," Blaise started and you rolled your eyes, "I heard Harry talking to Weasley about wanting to take you." you broke out in laughter and leaned your head on Blaises shoulder. "Draco told me he was planning on asking you," You cut him off "I knew that." he ignored that and continued "and I'm sure Cedric is wanting to take you too." you scoffed. "If neither of us gets asked," You started "we'll go with eachother?" Blaise nodded briskly "Deal." you beamed.
Blaise and you ordered and stayed at the Tea Shop for a while before leaving, Blaise insisted on paying. The two of you began your walk back to the castle, your arms linked but just in a friendly way. "I think I may ask Daphne," You didn't reply "to the ball?" he continued and you nodded "I think she'd like that." you assured him, Daphne didn't really like Blaise like that but you knew she'd love for him to ask her to the ball. "I think you should ask her soon before anyone else gets the chance." You stated and he just nodded "I don't want to pressure or overwhelm her though." he admitted and you smiled. "You wouldn't, Blaise, don't worry." You promised.
