Chapter 4

At those words everyone in the room looked up

 "So we know that you have been waiting for the news" The nurse said

 Jangmi badly wanted to tell her to just hurry up but she knew the situation

 "The body we have discovered is not your son" the nurse said

 There were gasps and sighs that filled the room

 Jangmi was shocked

Who was it then?

 "Who was it?" Mrs. Park asked

 "Due to privacy issues, we can not reveal" The nurse said

 Mrs. Park just nodded feeling sorry for whoever's family it was. Jangmi couldn't help but feel relieved that Sunghoon wasn't dead

But now the waiting game just went on

Present Day (6 years later): 

Jangmi woke up to the sudden alarm ringing in her ear. Jangmi groaned and layed down in bed still covered in her thick blankets. Jangmi realized it was her first day of work. She wasn't late but she wanted to look nice at least for her first day. Lazily dragging herself out of bed she walked over to her bathroom

"Okay Jangmi, you're 23 and it's your first day of a real office job don't mess this up" she told herself beginning to brush her teeth

 After getting herself dressed and ready for the day she headed out

 "I still have about 30 minutes, I have enough time to go get a donut or something" Jangmi said

 Usually she would make something but she was too lazy this time and it was her first day treating herself wouldn't hurt. She drove to the nearest cafe and ordered some food. Finally after eating a very good jelly filled donut and drinking a smoothie she drove up to her work place, still with 10 minutes to spare. Parking her car in the underground parking lot for employees only she got out of her car and walked into the building. Walking in, the lobby it looked like an expensive hotel, it was way nicer than her last workplace. It had marble walls and an expensive looking floor. She walked up to the desk and told the lady what she was there for

 "Oh you must be the new employee welcome!" the nice lady told her

 "Yep I'm Jangmi!" Jangmi said shaking her hand

 "Your office is on floor 3 and room 317, ask people around if you need help" the lady smiled pointing to the elevator

 Jangmi nodded and thanked her. She walked towards the elevator which was made of glass and you could see everything as you rode it. She stepped into the elevator with a few people following behind her also getting in. They all gave her a tiny smile. Finally when she was on the third floor, she stepped out and looked down the hall

 "Which way should I go?" Jangmi said looking left and right

 Suddenly someone bumped into her back knocking her over a little

 "I- Sorry!" she heard a familiar voice from behind her

Jangmi now slightly shooken up looked behind her.

The person who bumped into her gasped

 "Jangmi?"

"Jake?"

 "Wait wait wait Jake?!?!" Jangmi asked in disbelief

"Yep thats me" Jake said

 "What are you doing here?" Jangmi asked as if this wasn't a work place

 "I work here" Jake said

 Jangmi thought to herself "Of course you do, I'm just stupid"

"Anyways I haven't seen you in so long" Jangmi said

"Right it's been how many years? 6 years?" Jake said

 Jangmi nodded

"Is it your first day here? I haven't seen you at all" Jake said

 "Yeah it's my first day actually" Jangmi said

 "Ah got it, the people here are pretty nice" Jake said

 "Well see you around" Jangmi said

 "Yep!" Jake said

 As he began to walk off Jangmi suddenly remembered she didn't know where her office was

 "Wait!" Jangmi yelled

 Jake quickly turned around

 "Yeah?" Jake asked

 "Do you know where room 317 is?" Jangmi asked

 "Ah it's this way" Jake said

"Thanks so much!" Jangmi said running to catch up to him

As they approached Jake's office they said their goodbyes. Jangmi kept walking until she saw room 317. Upon entering she saw her boss waiting

 "Oh sorry for keeping you waiting" Jangmi bowed

 "No worries, it's only your first day and you're not too late" her boss said

 He was a middle aged man not too old with kind eyes

"Alright so here is your office, and your first assignment is on your desk, if you need me just phone me or go to my office on the fifth floor" he said walking out

"Alright thanks!" Jangmi said beginning to set up her stuff

 This was going to be the beginning of a new start.
