Chapter 5

As Jangmi opened her first assignment, it was a report on a missing case over 6 years ago

 "Huh? This isn't even recent" Jangmi said to herself looking at the case

 "Maybe I should call him Jangmi said to herself" as she picked up the phone and called the main office

 The phone rung for a bit before her boss finally picked it up

 "Hello what can I help you with?" the voice on the end said

"Hi I wanted to ask you about my assignment" Jangmi said

"Oh yes that! What about it?" her boss said

 "This case happened 6 years ago, why would I report on it now?" Jangmi asked

 "Well it has recently been opened again and the government asked us to report on it" her boss said

 "Oh ok" Jangmi said

"Also when we do these reports we usually assign you a partner"

"Oh who is it?" Jangmi asked

"It's gonne be Shim Jaeyun/Jake"

 "Oh but why him?"Jangmi asked slightly shocked

"Take a look at the person"

 Jangmi opened the folder and gasped

"Park S-Sunghoon?" Jangmi said

 "Yep now hopefully that answers your questions" her boss said as he hung up

Jangmi couldn't believe it, she hadn't thought about this or even talked about it in 6 six years, it hurt too much. And now she was going have to revisit it again. After finding out about the dead body and how it wasn't his, they closed the case a few months later. But when did they reopen it and why didn't Jangmi know? Suddenly there was a knock on Jangmi's door

"Come in" she called out. Jake walked in carrying his files

 "Oh Jake hey!" Jangmi said as she sat up in her chair

 "Hey I'm here to work on the assignment" He said taking a seat at the chair in front of Jangmi's desk

 "Ok so lets work on it" Jangmi said opening the file

 "So apparently the person we are working on is-" Jake quickly cut off looking at the name on the paper

"S-Sunghoon" he said in disbelief

 Jangmi gasped pretending to be shocked

 "Sunghoon?" Jangmi asked going along with it

Never in a million years would Jake think he would be working on his friend's disappearance

"So let's get started?" Jangmi asked

 Jake cleared his throat

 "Uhm y-yea" he said as they both began working on it

A few hours later, it was finally time for lunch

 "Wanna go out and eat lunch together?" Jake asked

 "Sure we need to catch up" Jangmi said beginning to pack up her stuff

 Then the two walked out of the building together

"What restaurant should we go to?" Jangmi asked looking on her phone scrolling through the restaurants

"It can't be too long of a wait, we only have an hour and half for lunch break" Jake said also peaking on Jangmi's phone

 After scrolling through for like 5 minutes Jangmi gave up and just suggested going to a store and eating ramen and sitting outside

 "Then after we can walk around if we have any time left" Jangmi said
