Chapter 7

Jangmi quickly picked up her phone and calling Jake's number

 "Jangmi?" Jake said immediately picking up the phone

 "J-Jake please can you come over I'm scared" Jangmi said

 "Sure what happened?" Jake asked

 "I'll tell you when you get here" Jangmi said hanging up quickly

 She was trying not to show it but, she was scared the most scared she had been in a long time

 Jake was panicking why was Jangmi acting like this? So quickly he just shoved everything back into the smalled box and stuffed it into his coat pocket. Putting the address Jangmi had given him, into his GPS he followed the directions and quickly arrived in about 5 minutes. Running up to Jangmi's apartment, he knocked on the door.

Jangmi's POV:

 Jangmi was curled up on the couch, and she was crying a little. Then loud knocks were heard at her door. She quickly got off her couch and went to open the door. When she opened she saw Jake looking worried as ever

 "Jangmi what happened?" Jake asked

 Jangmi just pulled him in and closed the door

 "L-Look" Jangmi said pointing at the things she had laid out on her coffee table

 Jake looked at them in shock

 "J-Jangmi" Jake said pulling out the same exact box Jangmi had laid out on the table

 "D-don't tell me you got one too" Jangmi said looking at the box

 "I-I it was at my doorstep" Jake said

 "Can I see what's in it?" Jangmi asked

 Jake nodded as he took a seat on the couch next to Jangmi. Carefully opening the box she looked inside and gasped

 "Y-you got the note and picture too?" Jangmi said

 "Y-yeah" Jake said

 "What's this" Jangmi said pointing at the ring

 "That Sunghoon's ring, I don't know how they got ahold of it" Jake said

 Jangmi looked at the ring, it had a speck of blood covering the S

 "Wait, they also gave me this" Jangmi said holding up the necklace

 "Didn't you lose that on field day?" Jake asked

 Jangmi nodded

 "I don't know how it got into their hands" Jangmi said

 "The picture too" Jake said

 "Yeah who took it and what happened to Sunghoon" Jangmi said

 "Do you recognize that place?" Jake asked

 "No it's too dark but even if there were lights, I still don't think we would know it" Jangmi said

 "Do you think Sunghoon is dead?" Jake asked

 "I don't know it's hard to tell, but I doubt he'd still be in stable condition" Jangmi said

 "I'm still curious as to who sent us this and why" Jake said

 "Do you think it is because someone somehow found out about it at work?" Jangmi said

 "Well if that's the case then they have Sunghoon somewhere" Jake said

 "Whatever, we can find that out later but we have to take this to the police" Jangmi said

 "Yeah your right, We can't figure this out on our own" Jake said

 Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door, causing the both of them to jump

 "Oh my god who is it?" Jangmi said

 "I don't open the door" Jake said

 "No what if they try to kill me" Jangmi whispered shouted

 "Then look through the peephole" Jake said pushing Jangmi to the door

 "No you do it" Jangmi whisper shouted again

 "It's you house" Jake also whisper shouted

 "Fine" Jangmi said stomping to the door and looking through the peephole

 "There's no one" she said

 "Then open the door" Jake said

 "You do it what if I get snatched" Jangmi said

 "But they're probably more likely to snatch me since I'm cuter" Jake said with a smug look

 "Oh please we all know I'm cuter, so you do it" Jangmi said pushing Jake to the door

 "Fine fine, but only if you agree I'm cuter" Jake said crossing his arms

 "Whatever just look" Jangmi said

 Jake opened the door and looked out cautiously only peeping out his head

 "There's a note" Jake said reaching down to pick it up

 As soon as Jake picked it up, Jangmi grabbed him and locked the door quickly

 "What was that for?" Jake whispered yelled

 "I don't want you to get snatched" Jangmi said

 "Whatever" Jake said

 "Now let's read it" Jangmi said

 The two sat on the couch as Jangmi read the letter out loud.

You better keep you mouth shut about this. If you dare open your mouth to anyone but P.J. or K.T. then I'll make sure your little friend suffers far worse then he already has. - Anon

Both Jangmi and Jake stopped and stared at each other in shock

 "That's not right this person is just trying to scared us, I'm going to the police are you coming" Jake said

 "No don't! You saw what they wrote" Jangmi said holding onto Jake

 "Come one Jangmi, this whole thing is probably a joke" Jake scoffed

 "Then explain the pictures! This person clearly has Sunghoon and they're threatening us!" Jangmi screamed

 "This person is playing a game and they're using us as their pawns! They're using Sunghoon as a way to do this without getting in trouble! We're just falling for this stupid game!" Jake shouted angrily

 "Please Jake don't do this, for Sunghoon's sake" Jangmi begged

 "Look, you do realize if we keep this a secret we could get arrested for hiding information from the police, and we'd look even more suspicious since we're reporting on this case" Jake said

"I-I" Jangmi hadn't thought about that but then again she didn't want Sunghoon to get hurt since this person clearly had power over Sunghoon

 "But please Jake, don't make Sunghoon suffer" Jangmi said

 "But then what are we going to do? Just sit and do nothing?" Jake asked

 "No we're gonna go find him ourselves" Jangmi said

 "Jangmi you're not actually serious right?" Jake said

 "No no I am, the person said don't tell the police, but they never said we couldn't go and find him ourselves" Jangmi smirked

 Jake thought about it

 "Fine if you're so determined to find him, I'll help you" Jake said

 "Good, we'll make sure to bring Park Sunghoon back and make sure he's no longer just an unsolved case" Jangmi said crossing her arms

 "Now the note said we can't tell anyone but P.J. and K.T." Jake said

 "Yeah who are they" Jangmi said thinking

 "I don't know what's up with this person and initials but their not making this any easier" Jake said
