Dear Mum and Dad,

Hi!

I know you've been worried about me the last month and a bit. I hope my letters are the small piece of reassurance you need to know that I'm fine.

James and I are on speaking terms again. I know I didn't tell you why we weren't but now we are better than ever. He actually asked me to be his girlfriend.

I haven't replied to that statement. I want to take it slow and make sure I do this right. I know you two love James and I hope you are happy to know he is taking care of me this year. Like every other.

My friends have been amazing. When Christmas comes around and I'm home again I hope we can invite them over for dinner like we do every year.

To answer dad's question (quite reluctantly but James says I shouldn't lie and he's in the room watching me write this letter) Elijah and I have not spoken. He sent me a letter after the night I found Evelyn, but I don't want to talk about that. I see him in the hallways and I always smile and wave but I never receive anything back. Not that I expect him too.

I miss you both so much. Mum thanks for the cookies! Sirius ate most of them but I got two whole ones (thanks to James shoving the boys away from the box to allow me to grab a few). I can't wait to see you both at Christmas and get the hugs I desperately need.
