26. Blanket cocoon

"Tyler, come eat something you have been in there all day," Josh says.

"I'm fine," Tyler mumbles still hiding in his blanket cocoon.

"That's bullshit and you know it," Josh says

"Go away," Tyler says feeling like a small child.

"As your best friend, and I live here. I physically can't" Josh sits on Tyler's bed. "Josh. Leave me alone." Tyler says he knows Josh means well but he doesn't want to be bothered.

"Dude come on" Josh pulls on Tyler's blanket. "What's going on?"

Tyler pulls the blanket back up to cover his face to hide the fact he was crying. The two sit there in silence until Tyler gives in knowing that Josh wouldn't leave him alone until he says something. "Dallon is... or was cheating on me"

"Tyler-"

"I love him Josh."

"I know you do."

"I thought he was different and it keeps playing back in my head. How didn't I figure it out sooner?"

"How did you find out?"

"Brendon and I were working on that stupid project and I invited Dallon and Ryan I guess."

"So he cheated you with Ryan?"

"He cheated me on with Brendon."

"Like Brendon your music-class-thing partner?" Josh asks just to get a better understanding.

"Yes. I'm pretty sure he was lying to him too." Tyler nods Josh noticed how he didn't seem to have any resentment towards Brendon.

"Well fuck him. I always thought he was sleeping with Ryan they seem too close."

"He probably is too. " Tyler chuckles holding back more tears.

"I'm sorry. Well, fuck them both not in a literal sense. Go to a party or something. Go have fun have a one-night stand. Mess around a bit. Do something you'll regret."

"Josh, no and I'm asexual." Tyler says realizing he has never came out to Josh.

"But you were with Dallon and had a girlfriend before him if I'm not mistaken?" Josh says confused and Shocked

"I'm Biromantic I don't..." Tyler pauses for a second thinking of how to explain himself. "feel the need for sexual stuff but I do like being in relationships."

"Oh..." Josh says still not really understanding. "Do you want to have ice cream and watch shitty comedies or whatever we can find on Netflix and forget about her who shall not be named for a while?"

"Sure." Tyler laughs a bit making Josh feel like he somewhat accomplished something.
