The group was taken to a crystallized dungeon below the Battlerealm. Some of the group were split up into different cells. Bella was still thinking about the fact that an Adaptoid had pretended to be Tommy, wondering why she couldn't see it. Frost Assassin was in the cell with her. "After...the skies turned red...everything...took a bad turn." He told her. Bella noticed his voice was strange, weaker even. She looked at him and saw he still looked like Frost and not Charlie. "You have dampeners on." She said confused. "Why haven't you changed back?" She asked. Frost looked at Bella. "I was brought back when they put the death totem inside of Charlie." He explained showing the wound. "My powers aren't just being blocked." He explained. Bella then realized what he meant. "You're dying." She said. Frost nodded. "The totem was the only thing keeping me alive while my powers regenerated me." He said. "It wasn't enough." He explained. Meanwhile Ian started waking up in his cell with Ruby. "What happened?" He asked sitting up. "Where are we?" He asked looking at Ruby. Ruby looked at Ian. "What's the last thing you remember?" She asked. Ian thought for a moment and then looked at Ruby. "I went to put away the crystal." He said as he started piecing things together. "There was this red energy...after that it's like I blacked out." He explained. Ruby looked at him and sighed. "Ian...that was 5 years ago." She told him. Ruby went onto explain what had happened to the Battlerealm, including them. Ian was trying to process everything but was mainly confused about one thing. "If it's been five years, why are we still the same age?" He asked. Ruby looked at him and then at everyone else in their cells, none of them had aged. "We must have been crystallized before now." They heard Phoebe say in another cell. "Basically it traps someone in time while dampening their power." She explained. Just then everyone saw Rage enter the room and walk past the cells. He walked right over to Dalton's cell. Dalton stood up looking at him. "As we discussed." Rage said pulling out a dark blue crystal. He opened the cell and Dalton walked out, grabbing the small crystal to place it on his bionic chip. "Isn't that a tech crystal?" Ian asked. Dalton overheard him and looked at Rage. "My freedom for you getting your stupid gems." He said walking off. Phoebe walked to the door of her cell. "You're working with him?" She asked. Dalton looked at Phoebe. "Well I can't exactly kill him like the last person who had me in a cell." He explained before exiting the room. Rage looked at Frost Assassin and walked into their cell. He grabbed Frost Assassin and Bella started attacking him. Rage released an energy and created chains around her wrists. "Still mad I see." He said as Bella tried to break out. He took Frost Assassin and closed the cell before making the chains vanish. Bella yelled out in frustration as she watched them leave, then burst into tears. "You can't let him get to your head." Phoebe said to her. "There's nothing we can-" Bella cut her off. "How can you say that after everything that's happened?!" She asked angrily. "With Mark...Tommy...everyone?!" She snapped as her crystal bracelet started to glow and crack. Phoebe noticed this and got worried. "Bella you need to calm down." She said as calmly as she could. "No, I'm done!" Bella shouted as her bracelet exploded and red lightning shot from her, her eyes glowing red as she began to phase. "And if I have to become someone else so they can pay..." She said. "That's fine by me." She said as she attempted to break through the cells. Meanwhile Rage took Frost Assassin into a room of multiple colored crystals. "What is this place?" Frost asked. Rage didn't answer and instead walked around as he looked for something. Soon he grabbed a glowing silver crystal and took it to him. "Can't let a totem die before I can use it." He said as the crystal transformed into energy and went into Frost Assassin, who instantly felt stronger than before. "But how did you?" He asked. Rage explained that the world they were in was incomplete and the crystals were the life sources of who survived. "Charlie's life source has been returned to you but he could not be returned completely." Rage explained. "The fight with Arcturion destroyed my original form but gave me a new version of power." He said as he temporarily turned into a crystallized form of his original identity. "No wonder your power was familiar." Frost Assassin said. Rage returned to his present form and chuckled. "Normally it would seem like I would be nonexistent from your friends' sacrifice." He explained. "But instead it made me strong enough to create new realities to rule as my own." As he continued his speech, Frost Assassin noticed a green crystal. As he neared he heard a muffled version of a canary cry and for a moment saw a flash of light inside. He made sure rage wasn't looking before grabbing the crystal. Rage had finished his speech and was grabbing a crystal of his own with a smirk. "You'd be very useful in helping me." He said to Frost Assassin. "Having the death totem would be able to grant you an entire army of spirits." He added. "Just don't break the crystals." He warned. "They are connected to lifelines, if you shatter them they won't be able to cross into the new world." He added as he took Frost Assassin back to the cells. "Think about our conversation." He said opening his cell and pushing him in. He pushed the door for it to close and then vanished. The cell door was nearly closed when it suddenly stopped. Bella had overpowered her dampener and used her speed to stop the door and open the rest.as everyone started getting out of their cells, Alex, Evan, Isabelle, and Grayson started feeling strong pains. Ruby looked at them as they suddenly began to crystallize. "What's happening?" She asked in surprise. Phoebe shook her head. "It must be our connection to the stones and totems." She explained. "It's the only thing that's kept us alive." She added. Ruby realized what she meant. "They never had them." She said. "Uh guys?" Ian said behind Ruby. Everyone else looked at him with worried faces aside from Ruby who hadn't yet turned. When she did turn around, Ian's hand was crystallizing along with parts of his body. Before anyone could say anything the group completely crystallized and shattered, leaving behind a few colored crystals that transformed to energy and went to the others. "Ian...he had a totem." Ruby said confused. "So why would he still vanish?" She asked. Phoebe shook her head. "I don't know." She said. "But we need to get going and stop whatever Rage is planning." She said everyone decided to split up in the area. Clara walked through one of the hallways when something attacked her. She fell onto the ground and looked to see a boy with a bow staff. "Thought I taught you better than that." The boy said in a tough voice. Clara knew the voice and got to her feet to see the boy with a bow staff wearing one of the Robin suits. "Damian?" She asked. Damian Wayne chuckled. "Hello Glimmer." He said to her as he readied his bow staff. "Let's do this." He said. Clara shook her head. "I'm not going to fight my boyfriend." She said. Damian's eyes flashed red as a black crystal glowed in his suit. "Too bad." He said. "Rage won't let you leave." He said lunging in for the attack. Meanwhile Dalton was walking by himself in the Battlerealm. He suddenly stopped and turned around to see Rage in his original form facing him. "I don't know who you are." Dalton said as he got prepared to fight. "But for what you did...you're dead!" He created a giant fireball and launched it at the figure. The figure dodged and attacked Dalton. The two fought until the figure created a crystal like weapon and launched it at Dalton. Dalton burned the hand holding the weapon, causing the figure to drop it. "You're the reason my friend is gone." He said in a rage as he grabbed the weapon. He started to heat it up as it began to glow a fiery red. "This is for him and everyone else." He said before holding the weapon by the figures head. The weapon exploded and destroyed the figures' armored mask. The figure looked away and Dalton was too in rage to see it's face. "Not so high and mighty now are you?" He asked. The figure laughed and stood up. "You really don't give up do you?" He asked in a familiar voice. As the figure turned around, Dalton grew wide eyed and stepped back. "What's wrong Dalton?" The figure asked smiling. "Ran out of punches?" He asked chuckling. "This doesn't make any sense." Dalton said trying to process what he was seeing. The person in the mask didn't just kill Alex, it was Alex. "That's what good plot twist is for right?" Rage asked. "Expect the unexpected." He said before sending an energy blast knocking Dalton to the ground. "If you and everyone else weren't around," Rage said as he returned to his red form. "Not only would he be just like me, he'd be alive." He added with a chuckle. "You should see the look on your face." He said as he held his hand over Dalton's bionic chip and removing the crystal, canceling Dalton's bionics. "Welcome to the Endgame." He said with a laugh before disappearing.
