🌸Chapter- 17🌸

Jivika's pov:

Sayan fasten the mangalsutra around my neck and put sindur ( vermillion) on my head. And with that i officially became
Mrs. Sayan das.
After bidaai, we reached Dasbari. It was decorated very beautifully. We got down and reached entrance then people around us started dancing madly.
Aunty was standing there with aarti plate in her hand. She performed puja. She placed a big platter with kumkum paste in it and asked me to step in it and then enter the house with red feet. Then i put my hand mark on the wall. After all the rituals i was very tired so aunty told me to rest and took me to his room. It was decorated with many flowers and aroma candles. I was sitting in the edge of the bed. After sometime Sayan came and went directly to the washroom. He come out wearing his night wear asked me to change. I was removing my jewellery but it got stuck with my hair. So Sayan came and help me. I shivered with his touch. We both were looking each other with intensity. Sayan kissed my forehead then my eyes And then it started leading one thing to another.

Next Day

We were sleeping in each other arm. When someone knocking on the door loud. We both woke up. We thought they want to tease us but when Sayan open the door the whole scene was different. Maa was crying badly.

"What happen maa??" We asked.

"Ta..Tani...Tani."

"Tani what maa? She's fine right? Nothing happened right?" Sayan asked.

"We can't find her. She's nowhere in the house. We call all her friends and some of her friends are here, we can't reach her."

"Maa don't worry. She'll be in neighbourhood. We'll look for her. "

"I don't know I'm feeling something bad will happen. Please find him."

"Maa nothing will....Dabhai Tani is not in the neighbourhood. And i found Tani's phone in broken state." Sayan was saying something to maa when a cousin of him inform that she's not there also. Baba also came there said

"Don't panic. Act like nothing happened people should not know about anything. We will go find her. Yesterday she came with us. That means she'll be here."

Everyone started behaving normal but inside their is fear about Tani. Baba Sayan also went to find her. Whenever anyone ask where she is. We tell them she's went to her friends house for group study. Half of the people leave the house. But Baba and Sayan didn't came. I performed some post marriage ritual in home. When they came back they're face was was dull. We then called my home. They also get scared and come to my new home. Everyone was worried sick. There is no trace of Tani. Then Pishi said

"Maybe she eloped with someone. That's why we can't trace her. Don't know what shame she'll bring to our house. I told you not give her too much freedom. Now what will you tell people where is you daughter. Her mother teach her to be like this. Don't know with whom she is. Attracting boys with her charm." Sayan was about to say something in anger but i place my hand in his shoulder. We decided to inform police but they won't file fire before 24 hours so we had to wait for some time in the leaving room. Everyone was tensed. But Bhai was beyond angry and in his eyes i saw fear of loosing Tani. But why? I never saw him like this.

I held bhai's hand and drag him towards corner and asked

"What happen with you?? Why are you sulking like this?"

"Can't you see how ill she talk about her. On the top of that we are sitting here like a bloody fool. No one is trying to find her properly. What if something really bad happened to her. She might be in danger. But no we have to bloody wait to complete 24 hours." He said pulling his hair.

"Bhai relexed. Everything will be fine."

"Seriously you are saying to me to be fine and relex. We don't even know how is she and where is she? How can i relex when the love of my life is missing. Nobody here is giving it importance. If anything happen to her I'll burn everything." When bhai confessed i was shocked. I don't know how to react. Should I be happy that my brother love her or sad that we are not able to reach her.

Next Day

Police came and they started intro gating everyone. They started looking the neighbourhood. Then police asked us call the last person with whom she is seen. We called Niti as she's her best friend in the they are together in everything. After sometime she came and finding police there she got shocked. We inform her that Tani is missing from yesterday and her cell phone was found in broken state. Hearing that she become statue. I can understand her feelings as Sayan told me they were like one soul two body. Her reaction was predictable. Police was asking her questions she looks kind of lost. And with that police assure us to find her soon and leave from our house. Maa was crying badly mom and me were giving her shoulder and Dad was giving shoulder to Baba. But when i try to find he was not in front of my eyes. I got up to make my ways towards him but i found Sayan crying holding Tani's photo frame. So, i went towards him and when he saw me he hugged me and cried like a child. My tears also started following. I run my fingers in his hair. Then Sayan look up to see me and said

"You know she was so small when i hold her. She was in front of my eyes yesterday. She was so happy because of my marriage. I was so lost in my own happiness that i didn't notice where my sister is? If anything happen what will i do? "

"Nothing will happen. Everything will be alright. She'll be right in front of our eyes."
