"WHAT YOU MARRIED HER?" Katara snapped from the sudden surpised

"well i hope soon to be stepmom in the future" Hakoda said kissing, "his future bride" from behind

"hello Katara, Malina" Malina opened her hand for a hand shake from Katara

Katara looked at her hand and in tears, bolted upstairs to hide her sadness 

Aang behind her saw everything and fake smiled and excused himself going up stairs to go up and comfort Katara because he knew she has so much pain over her shoulders

"she doesn't like me does she" Malina frowned looking at the ground as he followed her talking to Sokka and Hakoda 

"well our mom is dead and it's still hard on Katara even though it been quite a long time" Sokka said leaning on the edge on the table crossing his arms

"yeah, don't worry Malina, i'm sure after time she will 

accept you"  Hakoda hugged her to much her feel better and give her some comfort 

Sokka was getting use to her and pulled his tongue at the new lovers when they hugged, he just needed to get use to it and plus he knew what his sister had to deal with and she was suck up to there mother so it was harder, Sokka sighed and tried learning more things about his dad's girlfriend to get to know her better. Meanwhile Aang knocked on Katara room

"come in" a faint sad voice came from the other side,

Aang came in slowly and saw Katara curled up on her bed, trying to cover her tears from him

"it's ok" Aang hugged her from behind to comfort her

Katara turned around and hugged back as soon as she laid eyes on him, as tighter as ever and after breaking out of the hug she found the words to said

"i just really miss mom, and i can't believe my dad has found someone already, like it's only been a week or two! does he not care about mom?!?, i just don't know" Katara confessed, squeezing her bed sheets confused 

Aang put both his hands on each side of Katara face to reassure her 

"i know this is a tough situation but if there's a hole in your heart, wouldn't you want to fix that? plus i pretty sure your dad knows what he doing, otherwise they wouldn't be together in the first place" Aang said smiling for Katara

Katara knew Aang was right and sighed 

" your right but i still don't...trust her" Katara turned her head crossing her arms

"give it some time, for me and your family" Aang held her hands tightly 

"i will try, for you and my family" Katara turned her head, what she said was only partly true, she knew things will not be the same after this day and knew, 

she never be the same,

Katara hugged Aang, squeezing him and kissing him and he smiled, after this they went back down stairs and Sokka, Malina and Hakoda were surpised 

"you ok?" Malina said worried coming towards Katara to make sure she was okay

"yeah, yeah i'm fine" Katara said in a mad tone which to that Malina's face turned sadder then it was as she noticed

"okay, good" Sokka said making it worse

"well i have to get going" Aang gestured

Katara and Sokka waved bye and he left closing the door

"well for a start, you two should trying cooking together" Hakoda said thinking they get along

"okay" Katara crossed her arms

The two got cooking while Sokka played games with his Hakoda and learned as tricks

Katara got cooking and cooked their mother recipe but noticed Malina putting a different vegetable in the food and changing it up

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!" Katara squeezed her knife

"oh sorry, from my home town we have the same recipe and i think that putting this will add more favour-"

"this! is not your home town and we are FOLLOWING my mother's recipe" Katara yelled at Malina

"but if you try this-"

"DID I STUTTER?" Katara yelled

Katara noticed her sad face

"sorry, i just not adjusting to you yet, you can do it if you want" Katara slammed her head

Malina gulped and said

"sure, i guess i will do it, for you to try and if you don't like it will be do your mother's recipe from then on" Malina said

Katara frowned and turned her head to focus on what she was doing again with the food

After finishing cooking the "new" family sat down and ate

(damn this is good) Katara thought

"how is it?" Malina asked

"AMAZING!?!" Hakoda and Sokka said

"and you? Katara..." Malina turned to Katara

"ok, just over bad" Katara said faking it

Malina frowned 

"Katara" Hakoda said gesturing her to stop the grudge

"what?" Katara said, trying to act confused

Hakoda looked at Katara's angry face

"never mind, continue eating" Hakoda gestured

They continued to eat 

"so Katara me and your father have a family day out, shopping!" Malina broke the awkward silence

"well i'm not coming, i have to study business" Sokka said

"well can i bring Aang? you haven't had time to know him as much...dad" Katara said so she wouldn't be alone and so it wouldn't be awkward

"that's a great plan" Hakoda said cutting his food

"well if you like it, i like the plan" Malina said looking at Hakoda then Katara

Katara fake smiled back at her and after finishing with dinner and washing up she ran upstairs to her room to call Aang

* Aang? * Katara said walking in circles

* what's up? * Aang asked while writing study notes

* tomorrow you free? * Katara said playing with her hair hoping for a yes

* uh yeah * Aang checked his timetable as he wrote down some study notes

* can you come shopping with my parents * Katara sighed waiting for his reaction 

Aang dropped the pen and panicked as she said those words over the line.
