I was sitting in the living room nursing keade in my arms absentmindedly when she did something that I wasn't expecting..
"Baba I wove you mama"
I shot out of my seat. Did he say what I think she said?
"Can you repeat that keade" I stared at her intently. I had to make sure I wasn't delusional.
"Mama mama" she bounced on my lap excitedly, a twinkle was in her eyes similar to the one sayaka had.
"Oh there's my clever girl" I spun her around happily. It wasn't like me to get so emotional but who could blame me? My daughter just said her first word! I have to tell sayaka.
"Sayaka!" I ran into the kitchen with keade in my arms.
She turned to me in surprise "what is it mukuro"
I looked down at keade "go on sweetie. Show mommy what you can do"
"Mama" she cooed.
Sayaka gasped and ran over to us "her first word. She just said her first word!" she jumped up and down excitedly.
"Yes isn't she clever" I kissed the top of her head.
"Our baby's growing up so fast. It's a little sad actually" she started tearing up.
"Oh honey" I pulled her into a hug with one arm while I held keade with the other.
We really are a little family.
