Third Person POV

What was supposed to be a day of three friends hanging out was soon abandoned when Kenma came over with his Nintendo Switch to (F/n)'s house. Instead of all of them doing something together for the day, (F/n) and Kenma were quickly wrapped into playing Pokémon Sword together on their consoles, unintentionally ignoring a disappointed Kuroko. Not wanting to interrupt his girlfriend's happiness, he could only sigh and watch as she played with their friend for hours.

(F/n)'s POV

"We did it!" I cheered, thrusting my Switch up in the air and kicking my legs in glee. "We finally beat Zacian!"

Beating the boss Pokémon had taken forever, even with both mine and Kenma's extensive knowledge of the game. It had taken us many tries to figure out a good enough team composition that could deal enough damage to Zacian.

"Now we have to defeat Eternatus," Kenma said next to me, his back leaning against the bed's headboard. "And then Leon after that."

I groaned and flopped down on my back to stare at the ceiling. "You're telling me. We have our work cut out for us." What I didn't notice was Kuroko opening his mouth to speak as I sat up again and said determinedly, "Let's go then!"

Kenma and I continued on to battle Eternatus and stop Chairman Rose's evil plans. It took a long while to beat the second Legendary Pokémon. Leon's battle wasn't as difficult and we managed to win without fainting too many times. After that we went back to keep collecting any Pokémon we hasn't caught yet, barely speaking except for the occasional 'I got Ditto!' or 'Dammit, it's just another Wooloo. I have like ten of them."

"Hey (L/n), can we trade?" Kenma asked after a while, not even looking up from his Switch.

"Sure!" I replied. I pressed a few buttons and started setting up the trade. "What do you wanna trade?"

"I'll take care of that." He plucked my Switch from my hands.

"Oi Kenma! Give that back!" I tried grabbing it but he just leaned away from me and lifted his foot between us so I couldn't reach him.

"Ew." I wrinkled my nose and gave his leg a shove. "Don't put your gross feet in my face."

Kenma had the nerve to smile at that and pushed his foot against my side. I giggled and batted his calf away and pushed his leg down, using it to support me as I made another grab for my Switch. He used his other foot to push my shoulder and I shuddered in mock disgust. I sat back and pouted in defeat.

"If you take my Eevee Evolutions I'll kill you." I huffed. I had four of them and and was close to completing the entire set.

Kenma just hummed, completely ignoring my threat and continued to press buttons on both Switches. Hopefully he wouldn't take my best Pokémon, though I knew if he did he would give them back. After a few more keystrokes, he gave my Switch back to me and I saw (favourite rare Pokémon) on the screen.

"No way Kenma!" I exclaimed, tackling him and he fell on his back and against the pillows as I hugged him. "Thanks!"

"You're welcome." He smiled slightly, his arm loosely slinging around my waist.

I smiled back, my cheeks growing warm. We stared into each other's eyes for a moment before I heard a cough behind me and I scrambled away from Kenma, blushing darker. Kuroko was staring at us, his face stern.

"It's getting late," he said. "I think Kenma-kun should go home now."

Both Kenma and I turned to the clock on the wall. Sure enough, it was half past six in the evening. Kenma nodded and got up from the bed. "I had fun (L/n). We can keep playing tomorrow."

"Sure! Can't wait Kenma! Let me take you to the door." I started to get up too but Kuroko stopped me, saying, "He can find his own way out."

"But–" I started to protest but Kenma interrupted me, giving me a small smile. "It's alright. Bye (L/n)."

"See you Kenma." I nodded to him.

He left promptly with his things, leaving me and Kuroko in the room. As soon as I heard the faint sound of the front door shutting, Kuroko turned to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, sighing softly as he laid his head on my shoulder.

I smiled and pet his soft blue locks. "Is something wrong?"

Kuroko pouted, tilting his head to look up at me. "You've been playing with Kenma-kun the entire day. I want some time with my girlfriend too."

"Sorry Tetsuya, I guess I got too caught up in the game," I said, guilt twinging my stomach. I didn't mean to ignore him. None of my friends really played Pokémon so it was really nice to have Kenma over and play with him. But I should've tried harder to make Kuroko feel more included. Maybe I could make it up to him. "Do you want to do something together now? Just us?"

He smiled at that. "I'd like that (F/n)-chan. Would you like to watch Spirited Away?"

"Of course!"

And so we spent the rest of the evening cuddling together on the couch, swaddled in blankets and drinking warm mugs of hot chocolate as we watched anime movies until it was time to sleep.
