Her eyes widened and she gave me a weird look and I just raised my eyebrows in response. What was up with her?

"Something wrong Annabeth?" Luke asked.

"No nothing. Its just that it was my mom's favorite joke" and looked at her feet glumly. She slowly got up and wiped her eyes.

"I gotta go"

And stormed out of the room faster than Cinderella ran when the clock struck twelve.

When Annabeth left the table Luke followed her even though she clearly wanted to be alone. Luke gave us an 'I don't know whats up with her' look before he left and I tried to keep a neutral faced.

When he finally left Rachel nudged me hard in the ribs.

"Ow! That hurt! What was that for? I didn't do anything wrong"

"Did you have to tell her that fucking fish joke?"

"Its just a joke! How the fuck would I know that it was her mother's favorite fish joke? I've known her for a month"

She gave a look that said fair enough but she was headstrong and wouldn't ever agree that she was wrong.

i added,you're the oracle of Delphi. you should be the one warning me about this!"

"that's just a role i played in camp and what's up with that secret texts with Annabeth? Are you trying to blow our cover?"

"What? No and do you always read my texts? Its an invasion of my privacy!"

"Why were you sending her text messages?"

"God's! I was messing with luke! Did you see his face though? Priceless"

She hit me on the back of my head.

"You forget that he could end your swimming career with one sentence. Luke is manipulating and practical snake and can only be taken down with tactics which is why it's important that we follow our plan to the letter"

"Not necessarily" I mumbled

"What?" Rachel asked in astonishment.

"Calypso said she found some evidence that points to Luke being behind it all"

Rachel was flabbergasted "how? He is so meticulous. He made sure that there was not a single piece of evidence that points to him. Could he have made a mistake?"

"No he just forgot one loose end, one that we would be able to manipulate"

"So now what?" Rachel asked.

"We follow a different plan" I smiled. "One that will end Luke's reign once and for all"

"Percy, no offense. I like your evil side and all but tell me the freaking plan before I die of curiosity"

"Actually even I don't know the full plan"

Rachel facepalmed. "I'm following an idiot into war who is riding on a donkey"

"That is one vivid picture"

She rolled her eyes. "Yes I think about idiots in shining armor riding a donkey a lot"

I booped her on the nose and said "aww my fake girlfriend thinking about me a lot"

"Your fake girlfriend will wring your neck if you don't tell me what you know right now"
