Like Glitchtrap isn't controlling William they're the same person (William Afton) The whole trend of Glitchtrap controlling William to kill and do bad deeds originated from Vanny- Glitchtrap.
Glitchtrap is infecting/manipulating people not controlling them. He's like Andrew who also infects things out of rage. However William also can infect peoples minds and make them lose it. Jeremy lost his mind and chopped his face off because of William/Glitchtrap.
Vanny gave in reluctantly and likely regrets it as she can't ask for help by the looks of it despite Luis is willing to help her in anyway. Heck she eventually has a "imaginary" boyfriend named Brad who is threatening to kill her. She gifted herself flowers and had a note "For your funeral." The imaginary boyfriend is William/Glitchtrap. Plus it's quite strange if Glitchtrap was somehow William's brother who we haven't met. .... Glitchtrap's file is labeled "Spring Bonnie Man"
